Speaking of the Red Sox farm system, don't forget players like Hanley Ramirez, who was traded for Josh Beckett. Many people get hyped-up about the records and prospects. The Red Sox just churn them out.
Another team in the last 10 years that should be mentioned is the Twins. Made the trade to get minor leagers for AJ Pierzynski. Also developed Morneau, Mauer, Santana. Made trades for more young talent this year, and wouldn't bet against them turning it around fast. |
