PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This special Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca Program is offered to eligible retail consumers who purchase (Type Sale 1) or lease
(Type Sale L) an eligible vehicle during the program period. This special Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca Program i s an
alternative to the traditional incentive offers of Consumer Cash/Lease Cash and/or APR. This offer consists of a
specifi c number of pri ce-protected gallons of fuel at $2.99 per gallon for regular 87 octane unl eaded, E85, or diesel
pur chases, per vehicle in addition to a Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca Bonus Cash Program (amounts vary from $0 to $3,000 by
vehi cl e, as listed in the Model Eli gi bilit y secti on).
This program also contains the following elements:
1.) The eli gi ble consumer must have a vali d MasterCard or Visa credit card to participate in this program. No
debit cards or other credit cards are per mitt ed i n t hi s pr ogr a m.
Eli gi bl e consumer s must enroll for the Let’s Refuel America card via the Let’s Refuel America web site
(htt p://r ef uel a meri ca. pri cel ock. co m) or by calli ng the Let’ s Refuel Ameri ca Enrollment Center (1-800-866-
4656) bef or e July 31, 2008.
A Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca car d will be i ssued to participating customers using the customer’s credit card
account i nf or mati on and must only be utilized for eligible fuel purchases. This card will be activated for
fuel purchases only. The customer will r ecei ve a PIN number to the Let’s Refuel America card for
securit y pur poses during the activation process. All amount s to be charged to the customer (e.g. $2.99)
will be billed to the Master Car d/ Vi sa cr edit car d that was registered by the consumer.
The Let’s Fuel America card must be issued in the name of the individual r eport ed as t he pur chaser on
the NVDR.
2.) Fuel purchases will be pr ot ect ed at $2. 99 per gall on f or 3 year s, di vi ded equall y i nt o yearl y i ncr ement s, with
the below listed requirements (any required rounding will be first applied t o year 3, t hen year 2 – if necessary):
If the vehicle uses unleaded fuel, the $2.99 offer covers up to 87 octane fuel, but not diesel fuel. Diesel
purchases will be passed t hr ough t o t he cust omer at f ull pump pri ce pl us a $2 ser vi ce f ee per tr ansacti on.
If the vehicle can use E85 fuel, the $2.99 offer will cover E85 or up to 87 octane, but not diesel fuel.
Diesel purchases will be passed through to the customer at full pump price plus a $2 service fee per
transaction.
If the vehi cl e r equi r es di esel f uel, the $2.99 offer will cover diesel fuel only. Unleaded fuel purchases
(including E85) will be passed through to the customer at full pump price plus a $2 service fee per
transaction.
3.) The Let’s Refuel America program is desi gned t o pr ovi de parti ci pati ng customers a specified number of
gallons of required fuel (87 octane, E85 fuel, or diesel) at a $2.99 per gallon price for 3 years. Participating
consumers may el ect t o upgr ade t hei r f uel qualit y pur chases, and t hese pur chases will be consi der ed as “Out
of Scope” purchases with t he not ed char ges/ pri ces outli ned bel o w:
If the consumer pur chases a hi gher gr ade of gas (i. e. Mi d-Grade or Premi um) on an unleaded gas card,
the consumer will be bill ed f or t he $2. 99 pl us $. 15 per gall on f or mi d-gradef uel f or a total of $3.14 per
gallon (88 and/or 89 octane) or plus $.30 per gallon for premium fuel for a total of $3.29 per gallon (90 to
94 octane). Al l ot her gr ades of f uel hi gher t han 94 oct ane ar e not cover ed under t hi s pr ogr a m, and the full
pump price will be bill ed t hr ough t o t he consumer, plus a $2 service fee per transaction. In addition, if a
consumer pur chases unl eaded gas (i ncl udi ng E85) on a di esel car d, t he consumer will be billed the full
pump pri ce pl us a $2 ser vi ce f ee per tr ansacti on.
4.) The yearly allotment of fuel protected at $2.99 will have the following start and expiration dates:
1st year begins upon receipt of fuel card and has an expi r ati on dat e of 7-31-09
2nd year begi ns on 8-1-09 and has an expi r ati on dat e of 7-31-10
3rd year begins on 8-1-10 and has an expi r ati on dat e of 7-31-11
5.) If the annual fuel gall on all ot ment i s used, t he car d will not aut hori ze any pur chases until the next scheduled
annual allotment time period is reached.
6.) If the annual and / or pr ogr a m gall on all ot ment i s not used duri ng the appropriate time period, any unused
gallons will expire and not roll-over to the next year.
7.) If the Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca card is used to purchase fuel at a price less than $2.99, the price will not be
adj ust ed, but t he gall on usage will still be applied against the maximum annual allotment.
8.) If the consumer’s Mast er Car d or Vi sa credit card is dishonored for any reason, the Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca car d
will be deactivated. The consumer will l ose Let’s Refuel America card privileges until t he consumer r e-enrolls
into the program with a valid Mast er Car d or Visa credit car d and a $25 reinstatement fee is paid by the
consumer.
9.) Cards are not transferable. If a consumer sells their vehicle before the program expiration date, t ur ns-in their
l ease bef or e t he pr ogr am expi r ati on dat e, or di sposes of t hei r vehi cl e f or any ot her r eason, the card will
continue to f uncti on f or t he ori gi nal consumer as desi gned.
+ 10.) Thi s program will only all o w one Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca car d to be issued, and it must be issued in the name of
the individual desi gnat ed as t he pur chaser on the NVDR. If a Let’ s Refuel America card is lost or stolen, the
customer must call the cust omer support hotli ne ( 866-776-3077) and deactivate that card and have a
r eplacement card issued.
11.) If the NVDR is reported with more than one name, the consumer s must identify one (1) credit card that will be
used f or t he pr ogr a m that matches one of the names on the NVDR.
12.) Eli gi bl e consumer s must enroll for the Let’ s Refuel America card via the Let’s Refuel America web site
(htt p://r ef uel ameri ca. pri cel ock. co m) or by calli ng t he Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca Enr oll ment Center (1-800-866-
4656) bef or e July 31, 2008.
13.) The Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca program contains a $400 maximum fuel char ge per day wit hout pr e-aut hori zati on.
14.) If an eli gi bl e consumer exceedst he maxi mu m gallon allotment during a tank fill-up, the program will cover the
entire fill-up at $2. 99 per gall on, unl ess t he consumer has exceeded t he t ot al pr ogr am f uel allotment. The
Let’ s Ref uel Ameri ca card will not function for future fuel purchases until the next annual gallon allotment is
r epl eni shed (if applicable – I.e. if time still remai ns i n the program).
15.) Only fuel purchases in the United States are eligible for this program.
16.) Fuel pur chases at marinas are ineligible for this program.
Thi s program i s an alternati ve to traditi onal i ncenti ve pr ogr ams. Consumer s who select this offer will not be
eligible for the traditional consumer/l ease cash, subvent ed APR r at es, or Compass/Patriot retail cash
(39 C8 V). Deal er s must have each consumer sign an acknowledgement form indicating the programs that the
customer has selected.
