It should be stated that anytime the President flies, he flies in AF1 along with 2 - 3 C-141 cargo aircraft that carries all of the vehicles, Comm gear, and security personnel the President needs at all times.
In fairness, this was true under Clinton, Bush 41, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, LBJ, JFK... etc. Makes no difference the party affiliation of the chief executive, the waste is still the same. |
