 Mitch Maier - OF - Royals |  | | Royals recalled outfielder Mitch Maier from Triple-A Omaha. | | Maier, a 2003 first-round pick, made his major league debut in Sept. 2006, but hadn't been back since. He was hitting .317/.369/.467 for Omaha. He turned 26 last month, so he's already approaching do-or-die time. He'll likely be an adequate reserve outfielder at best, but it's not like Joey Gathright has been more than that so far.
