Elliott Sadler ran the fastest lap of the 2-day Las Vegas Motor Speedway NEXTEL Cup test session. Sadler clocked in at 188.772 mph with the Evernham Motorsports #19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge during the Day 2 afternoon test. This was the fastest lap of all cars testing in both days. #10 Dodge-Scott Riggs (Sadler's teammate), #38 Ford-David Gilliland, #40 Dodge-David Stremme and #70 Chevrolet-Johnny Sauter rounded out the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart for the afternoon session.
