49ers beat writer Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat expects Darrell Jackson to be the team's starting split end this season.
When he was originally acquired, it was expected that Jackson would be a flanker, normally the position that accumulates more catches in the offense coordinator Jim Hostler will run. Now Maiocco expects Arnaz Battle to take over at flanker with Ashley Lelie working as San Francisco's No. 3 receiver. Jul. 3 - 12:26 a.m. ET
