Ohio up 10 - 7 2:00 minutes to go in the first half! Kind of makes you wonder if Notre Dame is as good as they appeared last week? I was going to play ND strong, but am leary now!

500 yards of total offense and 42 points is impressive no matter who you play. I'll take a TD with a team that can do that on the road. Plus, Weis v. Carr is a total mismatch IMO.
p.s. Michigan's D didn't look that great either. |

ND's offense was impressive and the problem with Pitt is not their defense. Pitt's defense might be respectable, even though ND shredded it. They have shut down OU anyway. They've only given up one field goal. (The TD was scored on a return of the opening kickoff). The more important factor is that Pitt has a dumbass head coach and apparently a not too bright offensive coordinator either. Solich saw the six basic plays Pitt runs and he figured out how to stop them. (Weis/ND stopped them after the first drive). There is talent on this team, but like most poorly-coached teams, they will regress as time goes on and Wannie's ignorance sets in. We also might be seeing why Matt Cavanaugh has never gotten a good job, even though he's had some nice NFL assistant gigs. His offense is inept and is being outplayed by a bunch of too slow and undersized kids. Doesn't say much for him.
