Denise Richards: E-Mail Requesting Charlie Sheen's Sperm Was Fake:

Denise Richards appeared on the 'Today' show Wednesday, and now that court proceedings are over, said that the email which Charlie Sheen claimed she sent to request his sperm was a fake.

"That e-mail is not legitimate," Richards said.

Sheen first made reference to the message in August 2007, claiming that Denise wanted him to donate his sperm so she could have another child: "There is a specific document relating to this that I am going to reserve for a court," he said at the time. When asked if he would ever consider it, the 'Two And A Half Men' star said: "I would sooner, in exactly what I'm wearing, walk on the surface of the moon. Does that answer it?"

But Richards said she never sent such an email: "It's a doctored e-mail. I would never send an email to his girlfriend", which is what was claimed, "and, at the time of that email, I was with Richie (Sambora). If I wanted anybody's sperm, I'd have asked for Richie's."

She also said that at the time of the alleged e-mail, she had just found out that her mother was dying, and having another child was the last thing on her mind, "especially with my ex-husband."

Sheen, meanwhile, had some harsh words for Richards following her appearance: "The mere fact the she continues to publicly discuss and harass both Brooke (Mueller) and me three years after our separation which, for the record is longer than the actual length of the marriage, is beyond desperate and speaks volumes."

"I will no longer sit back and be egregiously painted as a liar. If any proof can be established that these are not in fact her words and statements verbatim, I openly invite her and would even encourage Ms. Richards to sue me in a court of law.”
Richards was on the show to promote her new reality show, 'Denise Richards: It's Complicated', which premieres on E! on Monday.
