26 year old John Garland looks to move to 5-2 today at home vs the Slugging Texas rangers. Unfortunately for him Texas is coming off a travel day and will be looking to get back in th win column after getting shelled vs seattle on Wednesday. in 3 of garlands last 4 outings he has had a WHIP over 1.49 and on the season he has allowed 20 more hots than innings pitched. garland is coming off a career year but much of the league sems to have figured out the change up that was so good to him last year. garland has also allwoed 50 more hits than he has recorded Strike out which means he has been pitching to cnotact and thats going to translate into some long balls vs a team like the rangers; garland has been giving up HRs all year and i dont think that changes tonight. Some may look to the fact that Garland has had 2 quality starts in 3 chances at home, but both of those came vs KC. This is just the kinda of game that could get teixeira back to htting HRs and the fact that Texas will get 9 Abs, being the road team can only help. CWs use its ubllpen for 3 innings last night and could press for garland to get through 6+ innings regardless of how he is pitching and all these things lead me to liking the Rangers TT over 4.5 for 2 units this friday night.
