Thumbs up My Experience At The Eog Bash

Wow.....Where do I begin?

I Know I just met met & hung out with these people for about 3 days, but I can honestly say I'm gonna miss them.

People I met at the blast:

5 Team Parlay - Never thought I would meet someone who's wagering style was so close to mine by concentrating primarily on NBA totals & halftimes. Oh, and you're right 5Teamer, those were some oustanding odds on the Sixers at 15-1 and all of the other scrub teams............. NOT! We're not far from each other so let's get together soon.

Andrew - Was so happy when you & your lady walked into the bar section that night and to see that you had finally received your luggage.

Your girl explained to me that she went to the room (I think the room) and to her surprise there your luggage sat!

Told her that was almost as impressive as them losing it to begin with! Ha Ha

Bettor Days - Was nice to meet you & your girl.
Also glad the Mavs hit that -6 for you.
I played that under like we talked about.

We should of parlayed our plays together!

Boss - I'm glad you got out of Canada for a while.
As you mentioned you like to get out of there as often as possible.
Look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Devil - One of the guys that really surprised me.
Not only does he know his stuff but a great guy to hang out with as well.
Really enjoyed our stroll through the caves/marine area.

Dirty - The same great guy in person as he is on here.
What more can I say as most of you already know, he's a big teddy bear!

Forecast 28 - The most amazing statician/mathematician when it comes to sports wagering that I have ever met.
We threw things back & forth at each other but I was no match for him, and I'm 100% sure nobody else on here is either.
Glad I saved you from taking that Orlando/Washington Under since I liked the over, but you helped me root it through when we were hanging out at the bar!

General - As intelligent as I already knew, and as busy as always.
The General is always working guys.
One of if not the most dedicated person I've ever met.

Was really great to meet you General.
Next time though, I will make sure I brink some sun block for you when you, Devil, Brian, Reno, and myself take such a long walk in the heat!

JRock - Very nice guy & his lady as well.
As down to Earth as you will ever meet.
Hope to see you next time!

Lawrence - All I can say is not only is Lawrence a fantastic guy, but he's also smooth with the ladies and I saw his work a couple of times. Breakfast with you & Mr. Fury was great, we had some great discussion!

Mr. Fury - We had breakfast together 2 mornings in a row, with Lawrence as well the 2nd morning.
Mr. Fury been around and knows the business inside & out.
Really respect his opinions regarding many things when it comes to this hobby we all follow.
I still owe you breakfast!

Panther - The first person I recognized on my arrival. Fantastic guy who's easy to talk to.
Was really happy to finally meet you Panther and do remember to give me that call when & if you make if down to the Tampa area to take care of that business you spoke of.

Real Slim Shady - Came a long way from Cali & had a gorgeous girl to accompany him.
No doubt in my mind Slim would of won the Poker tournament if they would have allowed it.

Reno Paul - Wow....This guy is just simply fun to be around.
He makes you laugh all of the time.

Spent a lot of time with & around him as well, and enjoyed it very much. Great to meet you Reno and next time I'll try to pursuade you to take that 25-1 horse with me so we can both share in the profits!

Russ Culver - Russ probably has it all
A great job, brains, and a lovely lady.

As nice a guy as you will find and was happy to finally meet him.

Shortbus - Didn't get to speak to Shorty much, but I can tell that when it comes to his line of work, he has if pegged. Maybe next time we can talk more.

Smoke - Smoke & I hit it off the first time we met
(Not like that either guys so don't even! lol)
We brushed with sports celebrities for quite some time one night with the likes of Charles Barkley, Jason Taylor, and Zach Thomas who stopped to shake Smoke's hand. He saw many others at other times as well.

Oh, and Smoke, next time let's just order the burgers & leave the barbeque chicken pizza alone!

Sofos - Another guy I spent lots of time with.
He taught me some lessons on betting horses which I didn't have a clue on. Hands down one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and although he is quite humble, tends to win a lot!

SOS - As with Shorty, didn't get to speak with you much.
Hope to see you next time!

Tony Montana - As classy an individual as I imagined. I wish I could be as care-free as this guy and still keep his priorities in order. Thanks for the shirts and all of your contributions Tony.

And last but not least........The Shrink

He was constantly trying to find ways to make the blast much better and even more fun for us.

The dinner on Lagoon Island was absolutely amazing, with unlimited drinks & great eats.

He also gave away 10 free wagers on Sunday's football games to those who were lucky enough to have their number drawn.

I was fortunate enough to have my name called.

However, I felt it was only fitting to slip my winning ticket into his shirt pocket and save him what was obviously a miniscule amount compared to the fortune he had already spent, but was easily the right thing to do in my opinion.

Thanks for everything ken

I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we appreciate it more than you know........

If I left anyone out please forgive me, but would like a reminder if you don't mind.......

No, the right thing to do would have been to slip it in his pocket and not post it on this forum.

I'm sure he says that mo because he figures if he were there if would be one less opportunity for someone else to win by my doing what I did. I understand that in a way.

I hope to see you there when & if there is another one mo!

Hmmmm....... I didn't catch that until you mentioned it mo.
I wasn't trying to take glory for what I did, jeeez.
I guess there's always someone who will try to make something out of nothing.

I was simply trying to make everyone understand that Ken is as giving a person as you would ever meet and at some point you just have to say hey, thanks for everything but you've given enough already.

Oh well, you & I know what I meant mo, no biggie........

Yes Wrig, seen quite a few as did the other guys.

Smoke & I were a few feet from John Elway, Charles Barkley, Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas & Stuart Scott all at blackjack tables.

Nights before Patrick Ewing was playing by himself at one table.

Also saw Ben Roethlisberger, John McEnroe, and some others as did many of the other guys at that bash who can probably throw a lot more names out there........

You already made your point pioneer even though you're completely wrong.

This thread isn't here to argue back & forth with you, it's to share with those that didn't get the chance to go & those who I had a great time with.....

So Hache, instead of admitting that you are wrong, you delete my posts. You started this by saying..."However, I felt it was only fitting to slip my winning ticket into his shirt pocket and save him what was obviously a miniscule amount compared to the fortune he had already spent, but was easily the right thing to do in my opinion."

...it was not the right thing to do in my opinion, and furthermore you compound your error by deleting my post.

WHY WAS MY POST DELETED? FOR THE RECORD THIS WAS MY POST...

Wrong Hache, you don't understand. You were right to give the Shrink the winning ticket back; you were wrong to brag about it on this forum. Proof that you were wrong is that Mofo approves of your actions. There's a Bible verse that applies, something like never let your left hand know what your right hand is giving. I could look it up but I'm sure you understand.

All of your posts are in The Dump.

For the last time, continue your assault there, not in here

No, Hache Man, I do not agree to continue this discussion in the Dump. And I asked you to stop editing/deleting my posts; you continue to do so which is beyond the bounds of your rights as a moderator here. But I will agree to stop posting my response to your post if you delete the offensive part...
