The boys, ages 8 and 10, just wanted to go to IT'Z family fun center. What they got instead was a trip Saturday night to two Hooters and a ride home with a drunken driver, according to a Metro Court criminal complaint. Michael Vigil, 37, landed in jail, charged with two counts each of child abuse and battery on a police officer. According to the criminal complaint: Vigil's son, 10, and his friend, 8, called 911, saying they were in a car stopped in the middle of the road and that Vigil was drunk. When Albuquerque police arrived in the 7100 block of Louisiana Boulevard Northeast, they found Vigil leaving the car, swaying and reeking of alcohol. The two boys told police Vigil had taken them to two different Hooters restaurants and drank beer at each. They said he later stopped at a gas station and told them he was buying Dr Pepper. "He lied to us. He was drinking beer," one of the boys told police. The boys said they had yelled at Vigil not to drive and asked the officer, "It's not OK to drink and drive, is it?" Police said Vigil was combative, kicking two officers in the leg and spitting all over the back of a patrol car. A breath test given later showed his blood alcohol level at 0.16, or twice the legal limit. Police were able to locate the mother of one of the boys and found a family member to take care of them. Vigil's bail is set at $9,500. Police: Dad took kids to Hooters, drove drunk : Local : Albuquerque Tribune |

Hey Gyno- you see full parking lots at bars, right? Do you really think all those people are designated drivers? I would say 5%, tops.
Almost everyone that visits/frequents a bar drinks and drives (or is traveling with someone who is.) |

A drunk friend, got stuck in the snow. He switched on the cruise control and got behind the car to push it out of the snow. It worked. He got his car out of the snow, and the car, still in cruise, drove through a brick mailbox.
Obviously, not a smart thing to do, however, I have to give him credit for creativity. |
