I disagree. If anything, he is guilty for going the creative route with the song, and not doing a catchy single type joint like Sham did. Either way, it was better. Sham was screaming and I couldnt understand half his rhyme

If you look back to last week, SHam couldn't freestyle, and got destroyed in that battle. He was even whacker than the PHD Black power guy. But Sewrch rigged it for him to stay.How you gonna be a rappe, and can't freestyle?
J Brown held his own in the D. And this week, J Brown did good as hell at Rucker, whereas Sham wacked it out. I think it's because in todays rap environment, Serch thinks that Sham's style can be marketed better, but I think J Brown is way nicer, and will ultimately go farther in the rap game because hes got his business sense.

lawrence, John Brown will never be any type of respected rapper, (shamrock either for that matter). He is such a joke and a clown. He is always preaching his ghetto revival shit, but every time someone asked him what it was about, he kept going in circles saying the same shit over and over and over. He never made any sense or clarified what he was trying to say. All that bullshit about I'm an entity and whatnot is just idiotic. No one will ever respect his dumb ass. I'm not saying someone won't give him a record deal and hope he has some fans from the show, but in the rap community he gets no love.

I agree that he came off as a big ass dork, but in reality, they all did. I am just going by the last 2 episodes, where J Brown came up clutch. I was leaning towards Shamrock the whole time until I found out he couldn't freestyle. That's a pretty integral part of being an mc. Their both wack, but in my opinion, John Brown just beat him head up when it counted.
