Default Alex Rodriguez's Wife Wears F*ck You T-Shirt To Game

DRESSING DOWN
ALEX'S WIFE HEARS IT FROM YANKS

July 3, 2007 -- Bombers brass yesterday called superstar Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia, on the carpet after she wore a T-shirt that said "F- - - you" during a game at Yankee Stadium.

General Manager Brian Cashman's disclosure that he and the couple discussed the F-bomb tank top - which The Post exclusively revealed was clearly visible to thousands of fans sitting behind Cynthia Rodriguez on Sunday - underscored how seriously the Yankees were taking the situation.

When reporters asked him for his reaction to Cynthia's sartorial stunt, Cashman fidgeted.

"I did speak to Cynthia," said Cashman, who refused to reveal what he told her and what her response was. "She's part of the family and obviously, we'll just keep that in-house."

Cashman confirmed he also spoke to A-Rod, but reiterated, "It stays in this family and in this house."

Cynthia Rodriguez got a huge Bronx cheer from people outraged that she would dare wear such a shirt at the stadium.

"That's nice," Yankees pitching legend Whitey Ford said sarcastically.
"Maybe she's getting even with him," Ford, 78, said, apparently referring to Alex Rodriguez being spotted traipsing around the country with a busty blond Las Vegas stripper.

Cynthia, 34, had the couple's 2-year-old daughter, Natasha, on her lap while wearing the obscene shirt. At last night's game, fan Scott Deskins, 43, called the shirt "extremely offensive."

"He's the highest-paid baseball player in the major leagues, and this is what his wife is doing?" Deskins said. It's possible that Cynthia thought her shirt was just another expensive piece of clothing.

She apparently bought it from Chrome Hearts, a high-end boutique on East 64th Street, which she visited last month with A-Rod. The shirt sells for $70.
When The Post yesterday tried to ask her why she wore the shirt to Sunday's game, Cynthia literally ran into a photographer and then wordlessly dashed into her Manhattan apartment building.

"Don't talk to me about that," a clearly annoyed A-Rod said when asked for comment before last night's game. "It's baseball only. You know the rules." He later left the Yankees' 5-1 victory over Minnesota in the sixth inning with a strained hamstring.
