BATH, N.Y. -- A pit bull is to blame for the death of a six-year-old Steuben County child. Sabin Jones-Abbott was found unresponsive just before noon at a residence on East Williams Street in Bath.

Jones-Abbott was transported to Ira Davenport Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators at the scene say the child was feeding the family's pit bull when it attacked him.

The pit bull has been removed from the home.
