In this thread, i want to display some of the projects that im working on. I am in no way, looking to become an advisor, just mainly looking for conversation and a place to display a record of the ideas. I mentioned the first one on here yesterday, in a thread. Ill call this "The Chase". Its a simple 6 deep martingale, going against any (O/U) streak that reaches its 6th game. Meaning a team must go over or under 5 times, then you start playing against the streak. Here are the numbers for the past 5 years. 2003 MLB: 152-2 2004 MLB: 174-3 2005 MLB: 161-2 2006 MLB: 153-0 2007 MLB: 160-1 but dont get too carried away with those numbers, each loss represents a loss of about (77 units). its profitable but not killing it. the last 2 years have been really good. before you ask, i do have the record for the 4 game and it is not profitable. 4 game streak, last 5 years: 1443-23 and thats a loss of several units. 2008 Chase: 4-0 (+$80) playing for only $20 per unit. with 3 starting today. 5. AZ Under 6. Giants Under 7. Angels Under ill post the lines later for "The Chase"............ remember, its a 6 deep martingale to win one game. I have two other projects that im working on as well......... One is called "The Grind". In which im exploring the idea of playing every single ML dog, that is priced between (+1.20) and (+1.50). Here are the numbers for "The Grind", this includes (april, may, june 2007) and all of this season. (april, may june 2007): 282-342 (+49.55 units) (45%) 2008 season: 48-59 (+7.00 units) (44.8%) with yesterday incurring an (0-5) day. i am not actively playing "The Grind" at the moment but merely doing back research. i do think the NHL playoffs are showing a profit as well, using this strategy. My 3rd project will be a project called "The Pattern"...... It involves what i call "Pattern Betting"....... Ill get into this later in the day...... It involves a small martingale, simple handicapping and common sense. I may actively play this tonight. back later.

yes Munson, as long as they are from (+1.20) to (+1.70).... im going to list the plays for all 3 projects today. i have been and will continue to play "The Chase" and i will also start to play "The Pattern" tonight as well but all for small amounts as i consider this more for the experiment value than the monetary value. however, i will only be monitoring plays for "The Grind" (dogs from +1.20/+1.70) plays for wednesday april 16 The Chase 2008: 4-0 (+$80) Chase 5 a)Arizona Under 8 (-1.20) $24 to win $20 Chase 6 a) Giants Under 8 (-1.20) $24 to wi $20 yes i know they are playing each other, if they go over today, both of the teams will be bet Under in their next game for $40. Chase 7 a) Angels Under 8.5 (-1.20) $24 to win $20 thats all for the chase project today, remember its based on a 6 deep martingale. The Grind 2008: 48-59 (+7.00 units) (44.9%) wednesdays plays 108. Giants (+1.60) risking one unit, monitoring purposes only and guys you can check the records at covers for this year but im only doing this for the monitoring aspect.. the remaining plays will be listed later this evening. The Pattern: 0-0 ($0) Pattern 1 a) Penguins (-1.70) $34 to win $20 this play is based on the penguins closing out the senators, they have a (3-0) lead in the series. Im prepared to go all 4 remaining games on the Penguins, if need be. for me to lose this wager, the senators must come all the way back and win the series. I like my odds. i will list other plays for "The Pattern" later today.

i hope to have some fun with this thread, as i want to see, which (if any) can be the most profitable. The Chase The Grind The Pattern as i said, ill be playing "The Chase" and "The Pattern" but only for small amounts and ill be monitoring "The Grind" but for this thread, ill score them all, as im playing for $20 on each. here are 3 more plays for tonight. Pattern 2 a) Braves (-1.40) $28 to win $20 a simple play on the braves to win one of next 4 games, doesnt matter that we will cross over to another series. Pattern 3 a) Redsox (+1.40) $14.28 to win $20 simple play on the redsox to win one of next 4 games. just the same as the braves. Pattern 4 a) RedWings (-1.45) $29 to win $20 redwings up (2-1) in series, this is a play on them to win at least one more game in this series. in other words, if the preds win the series (4-2) by winning the next 3, i would lose. i like my chances. that is all for today, in (The Chase) and (The Pattern), i will list the dogs to monitor this evening, for (The Grind).

I like those 2 hockey plays. Question on the grind idea. If a dog is available at +170 at one book, but listed at above 170 everywhere else, do we have a play? In other words, what is the source for your lines to distinguish between a no-play and action?

Munson for the tracking purposes, i have been using the lines at Covers, to do the back research, however if we were to be betting this, id play them all at (+1.20)-(+1.70), regardless of where i found it. im going now to do July 2007. Interleague play last year, tore this up.

thanks Firehorn....... im wagering very small and more or less going to enjoy this.... if i drop a couple of dimes, i wont enjoy that. Munson, concerning the ML Dogs in July 2007 that closed between (+1.20) and (+1.70): 76-101 (+4.26 units) (42.9%) this brings the 4 month total (april/july) 2007: 358-443 (+53.81 units)(44.7%) still good numbers. Let me tell you, there are some crazy swing days. one would have to be super disciplined to keep sticking the plays in. so i have now went thru 4 months last year and 15 days this year and here is the combined record for all MLB ML Dogs (+1.20/+1.70): 406-502 (+60.81 units) (44.7%) ill do august 07 later, no time now.

looks as though 2 more wins were picked up in "The Chase" this afternoon, with the giants and dbacks going Under the Total, ending both teams streak of 5 straight Overs. The Chase 2008: 6-0 (+$120) pending Chase 7 a) Angels Under 8.5 (-1.20) $24 to win $20 and to think the record has now run to about (320-1) since the 2005 season, with only the 07 Reds playing a string of 11 straight Overs. with the afternoon loss for the giants, the record for "The Grind" has dropped to: The Grind 2008: 48-60 (+6.00 units) (44.44%) plays pending for tonight. det (+1.50) bos (+1.30) texas (+1.30) kc (+1.40) col (+1.30) mil (+1.25) fla (+1.30) wash (+1.70) cinn (+1.70) that appears to be all. i am not playing the ML dogs, only monitoring them and i have some pretty good results for the past 3.5 months. plays for "The Pattern" are posted above. good luck tonight with your plays. i am in the ultimate laid back mode now but still want to show a profit, with these projects.

Good Morning, walk into the office, flip the lights on, get online and ready to go on thursday. lets take a look at our 3 projects........... first lets look at the 2 mechanical projects (The Chase) and (The Grind) The Chase 2008: 7-0 (+7.00 units) (+$140) there are no plays pending and no plays for thursday, there are however 3 potential plays setting up for friday. this thing has been really amazing, i gave the 5 yr numbers in the first post but pay close attention to the last 2 seasons and the start this year. the record is an amazing (320-1). The Grind 2008: 53-64 (+8.80 units) (45.3%) im only monitoring this one for now but im really liking the results that i have for the past 4.5 months that ive logged (april thru july 07) and the start of this season. playing every ML mlb dog from (+1.20) thru (+1.70) and doing nothing else, your record would be: 411-507 (+62.61 units) (44.8%). some pretty amazing numbers. for today we have 2 day games that will qualify. Houston Reds ill list the lines later today, along with the rest of the plays. im very tempted to just begin playing this for $20 each and see where it takes me. risking $100 on each for the past 4.5 months, would have you up (+$6261) and these numbers can be checked and verified at covers. The Pattern 2008: 1-0 (+$20) with 3 patterns pending. Atlanta Redsox Redwings ill address all of this later today. there is a chance that ill drop this from the thread, as it has everything to do with handicapping and this thread should probably mainly be about only the mechanical aspects of betting and the projects (The Chase) and (The Grind) can easily be followed and verified. more later.

ok, i am officially going to play (The Grind) starting today, risking $20 per play. Hou (+1.60) $20 to win $32 Reds (+1.30) $20 to win $26 i am however, only going to keep this years entire record. we can however reference this post at anytime, to see how my money has actually went. this is more for montioring purposes because i have a hint this can be profitable. we shall see. back later.

Ok, i am going to officially use this thread to monitor and play for small amounts, (The Grind) and (The Chase) only. The third project was not mechanical. I really want this to stay mechanical, so i can backtest the data throughout the summer and all the plays can be easily seen at Covers, with the closing lines. so here is where we stand, as of thursday afternoon april 17 The Chase 2008: 7-0 (+$140) no plays for thursday, system is on a (320-1) run since 2005 and this can be looked up, if you care to do so. No plays are pending either. The Grind 2008: 53-64 (+8.80 units) (45.3%) (+$176) thursdays plays Houston (+1.60) Reds (+1.30) this should catch us up and give a good point to take off from. im only playing to win $20 on the chases and risking $20 on the dogs. if both systems combined get up $1000, ill probably bump to $30 each. back this evening.

well the astros go Over the total, they had went Under 4 straight, so there goes a potential play. guys im not recommending that anyone follow a 6 deep martingale, one loss will wipe out about 77 units. so follow at your own risk. i have only played it this year but have done back research for 5....... im only playing to win $20 and that may seem a small amount but if it goes to the 11th game, the last wager would be for over $800. so really realize what this means. AM: i am only playing for $20 now....... what exactly are you referring too. playing all dogs between (+1.20) and (+1.70) in baseball... counting april thru august last year and april this year (roughly 5.5 months).. you would be up over 68.89 units. a $20 player would be up $1377.80...... a $100 player would be up $6889. as i stated earlier, all the numbers can be easily checked. it just takes some time.

yes, on (The Grind) i am working my way back thru the months. im completely thru with last year (2007)...... ill put the results up in a bit, for all of last year. as for (The Chase), i am thru with the last 5 years..... over the summer, i plan on getting thru the last 9. as i said, i can guarantee you that starting after 4 or 6 wont work, 5 is the number that the 5 year figures say, is the correct one to start after. 2004 was a bigtime killer for starting after a streak of 4. it lost something like (246 units) back in a bit.

well here are the numbers that i have for all of 2007 MLB, playing every dog from (+1.20) to (+1.70): 543-684 (+68.06 units) (44.3%). looks like we will get a split on the day games thursday, making this years total: 54-65 (+9.10 units) (45.4%). im going to be a little late posting thursday nights plays but this thread doest need me to post the plays on time...... i am simply going to play every MLB dog tonight, that falls between the prices of (+1.20) to (+1.70).. ill post my lines sometime before (6:30) but if you plan on following this, just get the best lines that you can. ill be playing this from betjam or my local. he deals a (10 cent line) to (+1.80). as i said earlier, no plays today for (The Chase)... back in a bit.

I'm loving those numbers for the Grind in 2007. Totally agree with you on the Chase having to be a 5 game streak for the trigger, based on info you shared. Nice to have you in baseball mode, SSI. ![]()

thanks Munson and i expect you to be a regular in my office this summer, checking numbers, going over data. its my never ending search, to see if a mechanical system (style of betting) can beat the Number. here we go boys heading into friday april 18. The Chase 2008: 7-0 (+7.00 units) (+$140) (320-1) since the 2005 season. play for friday april 18 Chase 8 a) Tigers Under 10 (-1.10) $22 to win $20 this is an Action Wager, as will all wagers in the Chase be. i am not going to recommend this for everyone. you think the $20 is small but if the Tigers go Over the total and take us to our 6th bet, the wager will be for over $800, so realize what im really talking about here. One loss will destroy (77 units). So tread at your own risk. this is all for friday but there are (5-6) more that are setting up for saturday. The MLB Grind 2008: 55-70 (+5.65 units) (44%) (+$169) playing the day game for friday. Pitt (+1.25) $30 to win $37.50 (Snell/Hill) Listed. i will be playing the dogs in (The Grind), risking $30 on each, $20 was just too small for me. all MLB plays in (The Grind) will be Listed Pitchers only. back tonight with the remaing MLB dogs for today.. The NHL Grind 2008: 7-8 (+1.92 units) (46.7%) (+$57) One play for friday: Dallas (+1.30) $30 to win $39 back on saturday for more NHL plays. The NBA Grind 2008: 0-0 (+0.00 units) (+0/100%) ($0) 2 early plays for saturday april 19 Phoenix Suns (+1.70) $30 to win $51 Dallas Mavericks (+1.70) $30 to win $51 i will probably also be adding the Wizards but ill wait on that for now. as you can see, im going to be actively playing and posting the NBA and NHL playoffs, with the same criteria. Im grabbing every ML dog from (+1.20) to (+1.70) in price and let the results speak for themselves. hopefully i wont get killed too badly with $30 wagers. back later today with the remaining mlb plays.

both the pirates and cubs were on 4 game (Over) streaks, heading into today. without a late flurry of runs, 2 streaks end today but you still cant play the 4's. Braves (+1.25) will list the rest tonight, every ml dog from (+1.20) to (+1.70). back later.

ok here we go heading into saturday and "btw" there were 5 teams that had 4 game streaks of (O/U) stopped on friday (minn, pitt, cubs, reds, oak). The Chase 2008: 7-0 (+7.00 units) (+$140) play for saturday april 19 Chase 8 b) Tigers Under 9.5 (-1.10) $46 to win $42 that is all in the chase for saturday. The NHL Grind 2008: 7-9 (+0.92 units) (43.8%) (+$28) plays for saturday april 19 Flyers (+1.20) $30 to win $36 Wild (+1.60) $30 to win $48 that is all for saturday in the NHL The NBA Grind 2008: 0-0 (+0.00 units) (0/100%) ($0) plays for saturday april 19 Wizards (+1.50) $30 to win $45 Suns (+1.70) $30 to win $51 Mavericks (+1.70) $30 to win $51 The MLB Grind 2008: 59-74 (+6.65 units) (44.4%) (+$199) plays for saturday april 19 Pirates (+1.25) $30 to win $37.50 Brewers (+1.20) $30 to win $36 more later today. that is all for now but you dont need me to post the plays for any of this. i am merely playing every ML dog that i can get from (+1.20) to (+1.70) and risking $30 on them across the board. and in the chase, im merely going against every 5 game (O/U) streak in a 6 deep martingale (chase) pattern. so im actually not even needed to post these plays. back later...
