Battled back to save face yesterday. Still feeling things out a bit. Going with these six tonight: LAA +160- The Red Sox and Dice-K have been great, but I just don't buy they are this much better than the Angels as this line would indicate. Dice-K has not been able to pitch deep into games and the Boston pen hasn't been all that good with an ERA over 5 to start the year. Boston is also dealing with a flu issue and they are dinged up to start with. Good value on the Halos tonight. Atlanta -134- Andrew Miller just cannot spot his pitches right now and he is getting kiled as a result with a WHIP of 2.22. Atlanta had their five-game winning streak snapped last night, but they are still the far better team in this game. Bennett is nothing special but he does a good job of keeping the ball down and I think he can take away some of the power that the Fish have shown early on. KC +140- Been on the Royals a lot because I think they have been undervauled and I think that will continue tonight. You really have to erase last night's game from one memory in looking at this game. Carmona is overvalued because of name value. He has domainted the Royals in the past, but he has walked 18 guys already this season and is lucky to not have been punished further. The Tribe offense has been inconsistant all year and Tomko has been solid early. Carmona should allow KC to stick around and I think this game is tight late. CWS -138- Sox blew the game in the 7th last night, but they should be able to get back in the win column tonight. Mussina just isn't the pitcher he was in the past with an ERA close to 6 and his HR tendency will be exploited again tonight against a lineup with power in a hitters park. Vasquez has been great early on this year and the Sox have now won 8 of the 9 times he has started for them. CHC/Colorado Over 9.5 (-120)- Morales to me doesn't look like he is ready to start at this point. His numbers early on are ugly and the Cubs mash LHP to a tune of .314 as a team. Rich Hill is a very nice pitcher, but the Rockies have hit very well over their last 5 games and for a curveball dependent pitcher I am not sure that Coors is a good park for him and it hasn't been in his only two career starts there. Minnesota +126- Just don't understand all the value that the A's are getting right now. The Twins are the better team with the lineup that the A's have and there is no difference between having Bonser and Gaudin start a game for you. I will gladly jump on the better and more complete team at this price any day. YTD- 47-48 -1.67 units |
