2 small conference #1 seeds go down today
Alabama State and Stephen F Austin.
Alabama St doesn't surprise me b/c the SWAC is the worst conference in America. Stephen F Austin was 26-5 in an improved Southland. That shocks me. This now means 5 reg season champs take NIT bids, not counting VCU and South Alabama (they would get royally screwed if they don't get in). Nobody wants to go to the tournament except St. Joe's and Temple. Some of these big conference schools are going to be left out of the NIT even. Lunardi is right, the bubble is BAAAADDD this year. |
