Default On The 2008 NCAAW Tournament Hardwood

As usual I will keep all plays in one thread for the entire tournament. Don't look for as many plays this year as the options are limited. The last few seasons, the easy money was there with multiple ML's, 1st 10 mins 1st H, 1st 10 mins 2nd H, 1st 30 mins, team totals, etc.... However I see 5D is putting up nothing like that. I'll be updating the thread often.......

Kansas State -3 -105
Kansas State -1.5 1st H
Kansas State -145

North Carolina -36
North Carolina -21 1st H

Nebraska -1.5 1st H

Connecticut -43 -105
Connecticut -24 1st H

Liberty +10.5 -105
Liberty +450
Liberty +6.5 1st H
Liberty +240 1st H

I don't like to lay heavy points but the Huskies & Tar Heels games are what we call "Name Your Score" games. Their opponents have no chance in hell of winning & are just about the same way as far as covering goes. Their only chance is if the superior teams take them for granted. Unlike in men's basketball, superior teams tend to get their work done & make examples in these games.

Liberty imo should be favored in that game so any point is a bonus to me. I am waiting for a Marist line as I love their chances to beat LSU in the 2nd round.

I usually don't play big ML's but sometimes I see value in them. IMO Louisville, & Notre Dame have absolutely NO shot at winning outright of all the games taking place this weekend. I'm not much of a parlay player but if people have their eyes on making parlays mixing in multi-sports, consider North Carolina & Tennessee 2 free squares.

I think the Tar Heels pull away & win by 10-12 points. Fowles was the only one dominating for LSU & she was looking gassed at the end of the 1st H. The Lady Tar Heels have much more depth & can throw body after body at her. If they attack her like they did at the beginning of the game, they will wear her out & possibly get her into foul trouble.

You can only hope to contain such a high scoring offense for so long & LSU's scoring is their weakness.

Quite frankly I think this game easily gets into the 150's if not the 160's. I love Stanford but I can't back them in this spot. While they arguably have the most talented player on the floor in C. Wiggins, I just don't feel they can outscore the Lady Terps. With the Lady Cardinals your main scoring comes from Appel & Wiggins, meanwhile with the Lady Terps you get a nice scoring punch from 4 of their 5 starters.

While Wiggins can take over a game, the Lady Terps have any of 4 players who can take a game over. I just can't see the Cardinals being able to stop the balance of the Lady Terps. While I don't think the game will be a blowout, Maryland should win by 5-7 points.

This should be a good game from start to finish though.

By the way it is absolutely disgusting how North Carolina is getting outplayed by LSU when they have the superior talent. This is disgusting me & I apologize for the results of it.

Well the pace is playing out exactly like I thought it would. The team totals should be money in the bank even if they went super cold. I still think Maryland wins this game as that was the best Stanford has shot all season.

I highly doubt that a 32% 3PT shooting team will keep up their 67% accuracy beyond the arc. I think Stanford comes down to earth & Maryland continues to score like they normally do.

I could play the team totals but no need to setup higher #'s for myself when I have such good #'s now.
