My favorite plays are usually at halftime. to start- i'll take Navy +8' for 1/2 unit. Middies getting 1.7 ypr better than the Utes offensively. SD a Navy town so a good home like crowd. Edge to Utes defensively, but only need to stay within 8'.

1-0 + 0.5 units. only comment about last nights game is that the refs must have had Pac10 experience to completely and utterly blow a call that probably cost everyone on the under. Unofficially, i was in that group. New Orleans Bowl Florida Atlantic is a 3 pt favorite and the first time that a Sun Belt team is favoried in a bowl game. Memphis has a better ypr offense, FA has the slightly better defense, but both give up over 4.5 ypr (4.8 and 5.2). Oddly enough, FA has a better Sagarin strength of schedule having played bowl teams Okla St, Florida, Kentucky, and S. Fla. They went 1-3 ATS and 0-4 SU. Memphis played 3 bowlers, going 1-2 ATS and SU (beating S. Miss) on the road. I'll bite for 1/2 unit on the over 66' just to have a little action on the game.

5-0 + 3.15 units. 1.Cincy -11 v S. Miss. Many people believe that double digit favs dont cover in bowl games very well. Since 2001, in the first week of bowl games, ddf are 5-6 ATS; no edge there. Cincy has one of the best defenses in the country. S.Miss isnt very good. only win against a bowl team was at E.Caro. A bad home loss to Memphis, struggled to beat Arky St. If Cincy is motivated, they walk all over them. If not (and i certainly could understand it because this isnt the bowl game i think they wanted to be playing in) then SMiss can win or cover. For now, i'll play 1 unit on Cincy and then look in at the half. 2. New Mex -3 v Nevada. Nevada loses at SJSU, barely beats Utah St on the road, and crushed by a bad nebraska team. NM loses at UTEP, crushed at TCU, and at Utah. At least they have a couple of road wins and a win against AFA. Lean to NM, but will only play at the half. 3. BYU -5' v UCLA. BYU seeking revenge. Ucla in disarray. UCLA with more talent, UCLA disappointed. In a bowl game, i'll play the team with more interest and less talent. Would have liked if they were a dog, but the injuries and such, am still playing the Cougars 1 unit BYU -5'.

Throw out your game selections and just go with your halftime stuff. They have worked at a great percentage this year! You'll come out OK, your a very sound capper and will grind out a profit!!! I have seen it out of you more than not.

Had a great time at the Emerald Bowl last nite. Right team won, but would have liked Md to make that FG in the 2nd half. Was there a worse play by a CFB QB this year than Canfield's INT at the goal line in the 2Q. Everyone knows that OSU is going to run the fly sweep but only USC defended it well. Well, the bleeding continues at 7-8 and -5.65 unites. Today, Miss St +125 for 1 unit. Only one dog a SU winner after 11 games. Time for that to change.

bowl games w/ 10 or less points in 1H are 7-1 ATS to the under on the 2H line (games since 2002; my halftime records are complete going back to 2002- previous to that they are missing a few games) UConn/WF under 21' 2H for 1 unit.
