Format and Rules for our $3000 KOH MLB Contest..

First off, if u haven't signed up yet, anyone with at least 50 posts is eligible to play......sign up here

You will have until noon, est, on Sunday, April 23rd to register....at that time the contest is closed......you must have 50 posts by that time.....So u have still have a full week for the new posters, to get in....

This will be a King of the Hill/Last Man Standing style contest, and to find the ULTIMATE CHAMPION, we are gonna be using many different formats along the way, just to make it more intersting and fun......As it looks now we will have well over 100 entered, therefore we will do bi-weekly cutoffs to round the field down...........

In the early rounds of the contest, each round will last 2 weeks, and you will HAVE TO HAVE 20 plays in by the end of 2 weeks....U can play as many as 3 games per day, but u must have exactly 20 plays in by the end of the 2 weeks....if u go over 20 plays, the extras will not count...if u do not reach 20 plays, you will not advance....

FIRST ROUND (April 24th-May 7th)........(Winners only Round)

Each player will have to pick 20 games, simply picking the straight up winner(no spreads will be involved) (sounds easy doesnt it?).....lines will be posted the night before, only games with lines at that time will be eligible.....any games with a greater than -200 line will not be used.......the top 75 (including ties) player records , will advance to the second round, and everyone starts over even again...



SECOND ROUND (May 8th-May 21st)......("Total"-ly Crazy Round)

Each player will have to pick 20 over/unders(no lines involved, simply wins/losses)......lines will be posted the night before, only games with lines at that time will be eligible....in this round, and game that lands right on, will still be graded as a tie, and will count as a play (for scoring purposes) 2 ties will count as 1 win, 1 loss, in other words, if someone ends up 11-9, and another guy is 10-8-2, these 2 players would be tied......you will still have 2 weeks to get in 20 plays, max of 3 plays per day......the top 50 from this round (including ties) will move on to round 3......



THIRD ROUND (May 22nd- June 4th).....(Dog days of summer round)

Each player will have to pick 20 "underdogs".....we will not be using any runlines in this round, it will be only (+) money teams at the time of the post, that you can choose from...you will once again be able to pick up to 3 games a day, to get 20 games in by the 2 weeks period..players will recieve the (+) money for each winning pick, and (-100) for each losing pick...the top 30 money accumulators at the end of 2 weeks (including ties) will move on to round 4......



FOURTH ROUND (June 5th-June 18th)....(Runline-mania round)

Each Player will have to pick 20 "runlines" in 2 weeks...you can use the (+1.5) runline or the (-1.5) runline, and of course, you will win/lose the "line" on that particular play.......The top 15 money winners (including ties) in this round will move on to the 5th round...



FIFTH ROUND (June 19th-July 9th).......(All star-capping round)


This round will last 3 weeks, and each player will need to make 30 plays over the course of 3 weeks.....u can use runlines, totals, moneylines in this round....anything goes.....the top 5 "money-makers" in this round will advance to the finals.........

The top 5 will now face off weekly, having to cap 15 games over the course of a week, max 3 plays per day, and at the end of each Sunday, the person with the lowest accumulated money, will be eliminated, and the rest will start over into the next week.......U will be able to use any lines in this round...There will be a tiebreaker game each week, players will need to pick the total runs, and hits in the Sunday night game to be used.....total runs will be first tiebreaker, and if both players are the same number away, then the total hits will decide who moves on...



Rules for posting plays....

1. Lines will be posted the night before, and only games with lines at that time will be able to be used....

2. ALL GAMES must be listed in 1 POST....NO EXCEPTIONS....

3. Deadline for picks will be 15 minutes prior to the start time of your first game...DEADLINE FOR THE DAY WILL BE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE MAJORITY OF THE GAMES STARTING..IN OTHER WORDS, THROUGH THE WEEK, IT WILL BE 6:50 P.M. , EST, ON WEEKENDS IT WILL BE 12:50 P.M., EST.....in other words, if there are day games, your post must be in 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of your first game, or that game does not count....the remaining games on your card would count, assuming they start later.....

4. There will be no changing plays once your plays have been submitted.....so be careful before making your picks...its not fair for someone to picks games, then go back and change after maybe they see who someoen else picked, etc......once a play is in, its in......unless it was posted late....

5. I have made it so that anyone who is even gonna be gone for a week or so, in the early rounds, can still play, cuz you have 14 days (3 plays a day) to get 20 plays in.......however, be careful, do not wait until the last day to get your last 3 plays in, and one gets rained out, it WILL be a loss, there is NO ADDING games on later, due to rainouts....if u only need 1 game coming into sunday, you may post 3 games if u wish, and of course the first one only counts, if it is rained out, the 2nd one would count.....

6. The time deadline will be strictly enforced...it doesnt matter if its "1 minute" late or not......the deadline, is the deadline, only way to be fair.....

7. We will have a seperate forum set up for the contest, and the lines will be posted in there each night....Standings will be updated in there as well....

8. In the later rounds, when we get down to the top 15, and there are no "ties" moving on, players will have the option, to email their plays, if they wish...however you are responsible for the email getting there, and if it gets there after the deadline, it WILL NOT COUNT....depending on who is still in the contest, we will give you the email to send to when the time comes.......



If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask......i will make sure to post in the lines thread, each round, so no one forgets what they are picking that particular round....we are just trying to make this fun for all, and something a little different....hopefully everyone will enjoy the contest.......lets have a good time, and be good sports about it......

First off, if you are wanting me to change something, u might have better luck by not calling me jack ass for no reason...Dont think that i have disrespected you once, since i have been here....

Now, to your suggestion.......yes, you are right, many people may take a -190 if its on the board, but if it loses, which they do all the time, then everyone goes down together......many days there are not that many -190 games on the board anyway....the first round, is only weeding out a few anyway, and if everyone picks all the same games, then they would all move on based on the tie for 75th....but you will be surprised Jim, i assure you....now as far as anyone picking dogs in that round, you are probably right, but there are anywhere from 10-14 fav's on any given day, so i doubt that everyone is picking the exact same one....and like i said, one goes down, they all go down.....

Just give it a chance, and grace us with your picks....

BUCS......THANKS FOR THE GREAT CONTEST!! BUT I HAVE VERY BAD NEWS.... YOU REMEMBER EARLIER WHEN I ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY TRUTH TO THE RUMOR THAT YOUR RECENT SUCCESS IN CAPPING BASEBALL WAS DUE TO STEROID
