I don't see it getting much attention and there are no awards. I would like to hear from you guys on this. I do not have time to go thru and sort out posters who don't play anymore and that is a problem with this when many posters get down a few units, they run away from it. Then we have those of you in the top 25 or so who are doing well, so you probably want to keep it as is. Comments & Feedback please Thank you |

I don't think "run from it" is the way it is. Im like 1-100 in POD, but if there was a prize involved i'd try to rally back. Like in KOH or betcris contest, u get rewarded for doing well. So there's more of a reason to post. In POD there's not much in it for being at the top. So for some people, it's "why bother". Plus everyone at eog does their own plays or doesn't play at all. So if u are top 5 and doing well on plays, no 1 will follow along and play some winners. Just my 2 cents. ![]()

Coming up with a contest idea sounds ok, but we would need to start over for that I believe. Keep the feedback coming. Thank you. |

i like hr roberts idea. it needs something to renew interest. if it's just 10-15 people posting plays per day, it's probably not worth the effort it takes for you to grade. but if there was some minimal free play involved, more people would post. |

I post a POD nearly every day, I like it, but it does not mean that much to me whether you keep it or not. I'm going to play my plays whether i post them in a forum or not. I think it is a good handicapping resource if more people were playing |

I like it too. But would understand if you wanted to scrap it. |

I like it the way it is, prizes or not. I am 12-3, I think and haven't played in awhile. But this is only because I guess I attack it differently..............I only contribute/make a pick when I really really like something. I guess I see it as just a place for a really fave pick. If you want to eliminate some stale stuff, just set a time frame and ask that anyone who wants to continue to send a post and say so. Anyone who does not reply will get dropped and not able to enter again. To start over would be defeatist in a sense. It would let all of the poorer records start over and the new thread would not be a proper reflection of their long term abilities. To keep it going would be a more true reflection of a capper's record. Gambling is a marathon, not a sprint. So, I vote to keep it going and not start over. |

I'd like to see POD revised, removing the -150 price limit... Players should be able to pick any Money Line they see value in (especially during Baseball season)... Set the POD price limit as high as -500... If the player gets burned at the higher prices (without corresponding value), this will reflect in his bankroll balance... If the chalky picks are actually sound choices with value, that'll also be reflected.... I'd love to see a POD contest!..... Of course if that happens, everyone would be required to choose from the same selection menu (perhaps Pinnacle), like every other contest -- no more shopping around for your own prices at your favorite book.... I'd advise NO "bottom of the barrel" payout -- pay for top positions only! ![]()

Hi, I'm new here. I would like to join the POD thread. If you are considering a new format I liked the idea of restarting fresh every month and I have to say I disagree with the limit of -150 or less because this eliminates your POD sometimes and you have to choose some other play that wasn't your POD. I would have to think that would frustrate people and keep them from participating. |

If you had a monthly and yearly prize I would imagine you would get plenty of participation. I personally like the POD and would like to see it stay on the board either way. |
