	Reggie Bush left Sunday's game with "slightly bruised" ribs. Bush called the injury "a normal part of the wear and tear" of the football, and coach Sean Payton said "he's fine." 	Reggie Bush (knee) was limited in practice again Friday and is listed as questionable to face the Rams in Week 10. Bush called his ailment a "bone bruise" on Wednesday, and those injuries have been known to cost players game action. Still, indications are that Bush is expected to play in the highly favorable matchup. The game starts at 1:00 ET, so we'll know early Sunday whether Bush is active. According to his stepfather, Reggie Bush suffered a mild concussion on Sunday.

Bush temporarily left the game with the head injury, but was able to return. Still, he reportedly wasn't feeling well after the game, and didn't talk to reporters. He is expected to update his status today. Nov. 12

	Reggie Bush (shin) was withheld from Saints practice Friday and will be a game-time decision against the Panthers. Bush was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, so it's a bad sign he didn't make enough improvement to get back to work on Friday. Saints coach Sean Payton remains optimistic: "I'm hopeful with the work Reggie has gotten, we'll have him." If Bush cannot play, Aaron Stecker would start with Pierre Thomas spelling him. Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed Friday that Reggie Bush has a torn PCL in his left knee, but is hopeful Bush can play on Monday night.
"If you just study the history of PCL injuries, I know they vary with each player, but it is an injury that you come back from," Payton said. "We'll monitor where he's at." Bush practiced without restrictions on Thursday, but felt sore on Friday and that led to an MRI which revealed the damage. The odds still seem heavily against Bush playing versus the Falcons. ESPN's John Clayton reports Reggie Bush (torn PCL) is likely to be shut down for at least three games.
Bush has already been ruled out for Week 14 and we'll know more after he visits with Dr. James Andrews early next week. ESPN's Chris Mortensen says Bush has been playing through the injury since early November. Aaron Stecker will be the Saints' starter until Bush gets back. Dec. 9 - 11:17 a.m. ET

Dr. James Andrews reportedly confirmed the injury and likely told Bush that shutting it down was in his best interest. Andrews did not recommend surgery for Bush's torn PCL, meaning he should be ready for offseason conditioning. It's uncertain whether the Saints will place Bush on injured reserve. 	Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed Monday that he's "optimistic" Reggie Bush (knee) can return in Week 16 against the Eagles. A FOXSports.com report Sunday indicated the same. Payton says Bush plans to practice this week and is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn PCL. Saints coach Sean Payton said Monday that Reggie Bush (knee) was "pretty close" to playing in Week 16 against the Eagles.
"The soreness was gone. He felt pretty comfortable," Payton added. "He's going to practice Wednesday and we'll see where we're at." The best Bush could hope for is likely to share the backfield with Aaron Stecker in Week 17. Dec. 24 - 6:02 p.m. ET

Reggie Bush (knee) has been ruled out for Week 17.

The Saints still have a slight chance of making the playoffs, but it's more likely that Bush's 2007 season is over. Considering his abilities, Bush's 3.7 yards per carry average is not encouraging. He also averaged only 5.7 yards per catch, down from his 8.4 average as a rookie. He came up two yards short of 1,000 total yards. Bush didn't capitalize on his chance to be an every-down back in 2007 and will likely be involved in a committee next year. Deuce McAllister is expected to return to the Saints.
