Roy Williams - WR - Lions
The Lions have incorporated more fade passes into their weekly game plan. Roy Williams scored twice on fade routes in Week 10, and Calvin Johnson possesses the ideal receiver skill set for a fade. "To have both of those guys on the outside, I've never had that before so it makes things easier," coordinator Mike Martz says. "Just throw it to the big guy ... which one?" Roy Williams - WR - Lions
On Monday, Roy Williams denied reports he wants out of Detroit. "I want to be a Lion for life," he said. "I think this team can win. I think we're still tweaking pieces here and there. I want to be one of the pieces that stays here." Williams will enter a contract season in 2008. Jan. 1 - 11:25 a.m. ET Source: www.detroitlions.ws |

Roy Williams - WR - Lions
Lions coach Rod Marinelli expects Roy Williams to be on the team and "have a big year" in 2008. The Lions fell apart down the stretch in '07, but talk of them parting ways with arguably their two best players (Williams and Shaun Rogers) seems a bit hasty. Both players' contracts are also relatively cap friendly in 2008. Jan. 31 - 10:35 a.m. ET Source: Detroit News |
