	GM: Anderson to be Browns' starting QB in '08

	Browns GM Phil Savage said Wednesday morning that Derek Anderson will be the team's starting quarterback in 2008. Anderson, a Pro Bowl alternate, threw 29 touchdowns and 19 interceptions in his first year as a starter. Savage feels Anderson deserves "a chance to go into the batter's box and swing for the fences next year. Our expectation is that he'll hit some home runs for us." Savage says a long-term contract is a possibility for Anderson and indicated that he's off the market in trade talks. Source: clevelandbrowns.com

If the Browns get rid of Andersen they have lost their minds. Resign Romeo, Derek to long term deals and go from there. Their future looks great if they keep those two around for a while and it opens up nothing but more opportunities for them. A team with a bunch of young guns and a coach to keep them headed in the right direction.

Derek Anderson - QB - Browns

Derek Anderson has reportedly been impressive at Browns OTAs.
GM Phil Savage says Donte' Stallworth has been working out with Anderson for a few weeks and the duo showed chemistry on the practice field. Brady Quinn has also worked with Stallworth and reportedly "looked solid" at the voluntary sessions. Quinn was reported to have struggled at OTAs last year. May. 18
