You get one guess & it's easy..........
Many will take him too early based on what they remember from his Super Bowl performance ![]() Last edited by Hache Man; 05-05-08 at 05:56 PM. |

I'm not sure. Probably Adrian Peterson? Obviously he didn't play yesterday but you have to figure he'll be picked with many #1's, especially because Chester Taylor may be going somewhere else and he may be getting most of the carries.
I don't follow fantasy football too much though. |

Maybe Plaxico? I'm not sure I agree with that if it's him because he's their #1 receiver and best deep threat, he'd be a solid choice.
Tyree? Can't be him, yeah he made spectacular catches in the SB but he's not someone you'd feel good about, I'd say only the most inept, average football fans out there would take him too high. Neither RB really lit it up, so it's got to be one of those guys or maybe Eli. |

Got to go with Brian Westbrook. I think he is the best runninback in the league and i also see a big time holdout. This kid is the whole team but the Eagles and those cheap pricks who run them, will never budge. So call it hype or call it a bust.

Jman is right......It has to be Eli
Guys will jump on him far too early in a large majority of fantasy football drafts this year based solely on what they remember him doing the last few weeks. Let me go ahead & throw out there that I had Eli as my starting QB this year on Fantasy, and it didn't take me long to put together a package to get rid of him in exchange for another......... |

I use to call it all kinds of names and said people who play it have no life but i helped out my brother this year and it is kinda fun. Honestly i think you would enjoy it. My favorite part was the draft. My brother played it last year and he had the worst collection of players i ever saw |

I don't think we'll see Eli as many peoples first choice when it comes time to select a QB, subtracting Brady/Peyton, I think guys like Romo, Palmer, Favre get picked before Eli.
On 2nd thought maybe Eli gets picked over Carson Palmer by a lot of people just because of how bad the Bengals were, but I still think Palmer will put up better numbers. |

Another forum had a free one for football season this year, just that a bunch of posters put together, and to be honest it was boring as shit. There was no money involved. Also the guy who started the league, (on Yahoo) also "randomly" got the 1st overall pick. It was fishy.
It's probably more exciting with a stake involved. |

Not fun at all when no money is at stake crazy, in my opinion. We have league's for eog every year. Had 3 this season. $125, maybe a little more next year to increase prizes. Hope to see you in it next time around........ ![]() |

Sounds good, I'll probably play. Do you guys organize all the stuff yourselves or host it through a premium service somewhere?

We host it somewhere but we organize ourselves & have total control. As I mentioned we had 3 leagues this year from eog, one with 12 teams I believe & 2 with 10 teams. The first year we only had 2 leagues I believe, so hopefully next time it will increase again. They are keeper leagues in which you get to keep 2 offensive players & 2 defensive players on your roster from the previous season. Couple of guys inherited a couple of teams from others with solid players already on the roster. You can make trades of course, players or draft picks....... ![]() |

Fantasy players are pretty smart and get bombarded with info before drafting. I doubt he gets overhyped by them. Maybe the run of the mill bettor who doesn't do much research gets burned backing him.
I could see next year's Giants being a bettor's disaster of epic scale. The way they put together great efforts in a row will convince the betting public they are great, but they could just as easily stumble quickly and then Coughlin's act could burn them out. With a not so easy division to deal with they very well could end up 6-10 and 3-13 ATS. |
