Browns RB Jamal Lewis thinks a prediction of "1,400 or 1,500 [rushing] yards is an understatement" this year.
Before filing this under typical offseason fluff, recall that Lewis did finish with over 1,300 yards last season in 15 games including an average of over 100 yards in the last seven weeks. Jamal Lewis reportedly showed up to Browns OTAs in "excellent physical condition and had a solid camp."
Braylon Edwards was reportedly also impressive, while Donte' Stallworth predictably struggled in an offense that's still foreign to him. Lewis' conditioning was criticized at certain points during his time in Baltimore, but he's seemingly been rejuvenated since his first day in Cleveland. May. 25

Jamal Lewis reported to training camp in excellent shape, almost ten pounds lighter than last year's 245-pound playing weight.

Lewis leaned out to better fit the Browns running scheme which features fewer "old-school, downhill, pounding plays." The streamlined Lewis believes he will be able to turn the corner better at his new playing weight. He will run all over the Bengals regardless, but this news could help against the otherwise stout AFC North defenses. Jul. 30

	Jamal Lewis (hamstring) will be a game-time decision Sunday versus Dallas. Lewis took part in the first 30 minutes of Friday's practice, but has officially been "limited" all week. Jerome Harrison will likely see the bulk of the action if Lewis is out, but would be a weak flex play. The teams square off at 4:15 ET Sunday, so we won't know Cleveland's inactives list early.
