Default Marc Bulger

Marc Bulger went 18-for-34 for 217 yards in the Rams' Week 1
win vs. Denver. He did not connect with anyone for a TD
pass, but also did not throw an interception in the game.

The Rams offense was more dedicated to the run than they
ever were under the Mike Martz era and Bulger did not let it
fly as often as he has in the past. Despite the rather quiet
performance, Bulger remains a decent option in all formats
in Week 2 at San Francisco.

Marc Bulger finished Week 2 at San Francisco with 185 yards
on 19-for-34 passing with a TD pass. We're moving it well at
times, but we're not finishing enough," said Bulger, who
took a beating in the game.

The 49ers' defense also looked tougher than most expected,
sacking Marc Bulger six times. The fact that the Rams passed
the ball 34 times should be comforting enough to Fantasy
owners who are worried about the new regime in St. Louis
being all about the run. Consider Bulger a decent QB option
in Week 3 at Arizona.

The Rams lost last week for the first time in 40 contests
with a 100-yard rusher since moving to St. Louis in 1995
because of problems with the passing game. Quarterback Marc
Bulger has no interceptions, but also has just one touchdown
pass. Offensive coordinator Greg Olson said Bulger has
perhaps been playing it too safe. "He's probably just
thinking a little bit too much," Olson said. "He needs to
cut it loose and play."

Bulger has a decent history against the Cardinals (not as
prolific as you'd expect), but it means little since the
Rams' scheme is far from what it was when Mike Martz was the
head coach. Consider Bulger a reliable starter for this week
and keep expectations in check. If he turns it up a notch
this week, he could turn the corner on an otherwise lame
start to the season.

Rams OL Orlando Pace (concussion) is listed as doubtful for
Week 3 at Arizona. He did not practice on Wednesday.

Pace's injury news is huge in regards to Fantasy owners of
QB Marc Bulger and RB Steven Jackson. There is no doubt
Orlando Pace is one of the best offensive linemen in the
league, and when he is not in the lineup, the Rams will
suffer. For Week 3 it might be a little different story
seeing the Cardinals defense is just bad. Consider playing
Bulger Week 3, even if he is without his best OL.

QB Marc Bulger completed 21-of-31 passes for 309 yards and
one touchdown as the Rams escaped Week 3 with a 16-14 win
over the Cardinals. Bulger did not throw any interceptions,
but did fumble twice losing one to the Cardinals.

Bulger had his first 300-yard performance of the season, so
maybe it is a sign of the times that he is finally getting
comfortable with Scott Linehan's offense. Or we can just
take it for face value and see that he played a Cardinals
defense that everyone has been able to throw on. Regardless,
Week 4 presents another favorable matchup for Bulger against
the Lions defense. Consider starting him in Week 4.

Rams QB Marc Bulger completed 26-of-42 passes for 328 yards
and three touchdowns in Week 4 to lead the Rams to a 41-34
win over Detroit. He had two 16-yard touchdown passes and
one 5-yard touchdown pass.

That is two weeks in a row Bulger has passed for more than
300 yards and the Rams won both games. It seems Bulger is
finally getting comfortable playing under new head coach
Scott Linehan. The Rams travel to Green Bay for Week 5, and
unless it is going to be 20 under and snowing, you should
play Bulger against a suspect Packers defense.

Rams QB Marc Bulger completed 18-of-28 passes for 220 yards,
two TDs and 10 rushing yards at Green Bay in Week 5. Bulger
got off to a slow start in the contest but rebounded to have
a nice game.

Bulger has emerged as a must-start in nearly every league
this season but will have his hands full vs. a rested
Seattle team in Week 6. You may think that's bad, but Bulger
has thrown for 300 yards or more in four of his last five
against the 'Hawks (including playoffs -- and the fifth game
was for 262 yards). Definitely keep him active in lineups.

Rams QB Marc Bulger completed 18 of 28 passes for 228 yards
and two TDs and no interceptions against the Packers last
week. He's the only quarterback to start every game this
season who has yet to throw an interception, and his run of
214 attempts without getting picked off is the longest in
Rams franchise history. A win over the Seahawks would give
St. Louis a 1 1/2-game lead over Seattle in the NFC West
heading into its bye week, and its best start since it
opened 6-0 in 2001, the season of its last Super Bowl
appearance. "Seattle has been our rival the last four or
five years and they're going to be tough," Bulger said.
"They are the division champs and it is up to us to unseat
them."

Here's the stat that will make your mouth water: Bulger has
thrown for 300 yards or more in four of his last five
against the Seahawks (including playoffs -- and the fifth
game was for 262 yards). Bulger's nice on-field play has
resulted in big Fantasy points for his owners. Definitely
start him in what should be a high-scoring affair in St.
Louis.

Rams QB Marc Bulger was 27-of-40 passing for 327 yards and
two touchdowns at San Diego in Week 8. Bulger has thrown for

Bulger has become a must-start Fantasy QB. Use him vs.
Kansas City in Week 9.

Rams QB Marc Bulger threw for just 142 yards and no
touchdowns in Week 11 at Carolina. He finished 19-for-34
passing in a game the Rams lost 15-0. He was also
intercepted once.

Bulger has been a top-5 Fantasy QB all season, but this game
was a bit of a setback. The Panthers defense didn't allow
much of anything to work for the Rams and Bulger never got
in a rhythm. Despite the slow game, though, he remains a
must-start for Week 12 vs. San Francisco.

Rams offensive guard Adam Timmerman, listed as questionable
a few days ago due to bruised ribs, on Friday said he'll
start this week against the San Francisco 49ers. Timmerman,
held out of practice on Wednesday, was upgraded to probable,
a positive sign for a beleaguered unit that allowed seven
sacks and produced 111 total yards in a 15-0 loss to the
Panthers last week. Timmerman has played in 181 consecutive
games. His iron-man run is second-longest among active
players behind Chiefs guard Will Shields, who has played in
218 straight. The offensive line has been banged up, with
Orlando Pace and Andy McCollum out for the season. Right
tackle Alex Barron is the only other opening-day starter
still at his spot. Quarterback Marc Bulger has been sacked
11 times the last two weeks and 35 times overall. The
pressure has taken the wind out of the Rams' deep passing
game. "It definitely affects the rhythm of our passing
game," Bulger said. "I've been fortunate that most of the
hits are pretty direct and I'm not getting twisted under
anyone. I'm holding up pretty good." Coach Scott Linehan
also said there was a possibility that rookie Mark
Setterstrom, a seventh-round pick this year, could get his
first start at left guard. Setterstrom played two series
last week in his NFL debut, subbing for Timmerman for one
play after the veteran guard was injured. Setterstrom would
start ahead of Adam Goldberg, who struggled at left tackle
last week in place of injured Orlando Pace. Todd Steussie is
being moved from guard to left tackle this week, and is
likely to stay there the remainder of the season.

Bulger has struggled without Pace but should still be
considered a low-end No. 1 QB for Week 12 against the 49ers.

Rams QB Marc Bulger threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kevin
Curtis with 27 seconds to go in Week 12 for a 20-17 victory
over the San Francisco 49ers. Bulger finished the game
23-of-34 for 201 yards with one touchdown and one
interception.

Bulger has not had such hot stats the past three weeks, but
could look for redemption in Week 13 against the Cardinals.
Consider him a low-end No. 1 Fantasy QB for Week 13.

Rams QB Marc Bulger (ribs) is listed as probable for Week 13
vs. Arizona.

Bulger is probably still a little sore from getting hit hard
late in the first half against the 49ers in Week 12, but
right now it is nothing more than bruised ribs. He played
through the injury Week 12 and should be fine for Week 13
against Arizona. Consider him a low-end No. 1 Fantasy QB.

Bulger will undergo MRI on ribs
Marc Bulger - QB - STL - Dec. 4 - 12:05 p.m. ET
Marc Bulger will undergo an MRI on his ribs Monday to make sure there are no breaks or cartilage damage.
Bulger seemed to downplay the severity of his injuries. "It's just for peace of mind." He'll need to be 100% before playing the Bears this week. Bulger tied an NFL record held by Kurt Warner and Dan Marino as the fastest quarterback to reach 15,000 yards Sunday.Dec. 4 - 12:05 p.m. ET

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Monday that Rams QB Marc
Bulger was not happy with his team's effort vs. Arizona in
Week 13. "Obviously, we have guys in here who think it's OK
just to show up and play, and not prepare all week and just
think it's going to get done. It doesn't work that way,"
Bulger said. "There's more than one guy in this locker room
that could care less if we're losing or thinks it's OK to
make mistakes. I've made a hundred mistakes; I'm not perfect
on the football field. But I care; we lose, it hurts. But
there are definitely guys that don't care. That's what bugs
me." Bulger wouldn't name names, but cleared teammates
Steven Jackson, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce.

We're guessing Bulger is upset with his O-line, which has
not been the same since left tackle Orlando Pace went down
for the season with a torn tricep. Bulger completed 27-of-45
passes for 314 yards for two touchdowns (1,15) with four
sacks and three interceptions. With the Bears coming to town
in Week 14, consider Bulger a top-end No. 2 Fantasy QB.

Rams QB Marc Bulger (ribs) is listed as probable for Week 15
at Oakland.

The Raiders pass defense is one of the best in the league,
but Bulger is too valuable to Fantasy owners to sit.
Consider him a solid No. 1 Fantasy QB for Week 15.
