Colts owner Jim Irsay believes WR Marvin Harrison (both knees) will be fully recovered in time for the 2008 season.
"There's just no reason (for him not to fully recover). There's no reason both knees can't be sound. The one knee (left) that had the cartilage problem, that's pretty much sound and ready to go. 	Colts coach Tony Dungy believes Marvin Harrison (knee surgery) will be "fine" for the upcoming season. "That’s what we’re hoping for," Dungy said. "It was kind of strange last year. It was every couple of weeks, ‘he should be ready to go,’ and it didn’t happen. My sense is with an offseason, he’ll be good to go." Harrison will likely take part in very little OTA work and be limited throughout camp. At age 36, he'll remain an injury risk during the season even if he avoids summer setbacks. 	Colts coach Tony Dungy expects both WR Marvin Harrison (knee surgery) and DE Dwight Freeney (foot surgery) to be ready for the season opener. The pair may not be ready for the start of training camp, but both should be eased in later in the summer. Dungy noted that Harrison was running with a smile because he was pain free. He also reiterated that Harrison is not a suspect in the April 29 Philadelphia shooting and that the team feels good about his status. 	The Indianapolis Star reports that Marvin Harrison (knee) has been cleared for practice and will ready for the Colts' first day of training camp on Friday. Great news for Harrison, whose clearance comes much sooner than expected. Indianapolis will still be very cautious with him after his offseason knee surgery, but it appears he'll be ready for Week 1. While his legal issues are still in doubt, we've seen Harrison fall too far in drafts. He's worth the gamble at the end of the top-20 wideout picks. He'll score as long as he's healthy. Marvin Harrison (knees) will not play in Sunday's Hall of Fame exhibition game.

There's no reason for the Colts to push him. "It's more a doctor's schedule," coach Tony Dungy said. "He's right on schedule in terms of practicing and running. And when we want the live work, whether it will be (preseason) week three or week four, we'll see." Harrison remains on track to start Week 1. Aug. 1 - 3:59 p.m. ET

Marvin Harrison, who's been cleared for full contact, has reportedly shown the ability to separate and had a "bounce in his step" during practices.
Unlike Javon Walker in Oakland, Harrison has made cuts, shown speed, and "can still get open." The Indianapolis Star expects Harrison to see more single coverage this season as opponents key on Reggie Wayne. Aug. 8 - 4:36 p.m. ET
