	Steve Smith (leg) missed his third straight day of practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 11 against Green Bay. The Charlotte Observer called Smith's ailment a "slight shin injury" in Friday's edition, but it's clearly a concern. "It'll be a game-time decision, day to day," coach John Fox said. "It's still sore." The Panthers-Packers game has a 1:00 ET start, so we'll know early whether he'll go, but his owners should be prepared with alternatives. Drew Carter would start in Smith's place. "I think there's a much better chance (of his playing) this week than say, later in the week last week," said Panthers coach John Fox. Smith will likely be limited in practice this week, but was said to be close to playing in Week 11. If active, has a very desirable matchup against the Saints. Nov. 20

He's expected to see Cowboys CB Terence Newman in primary coverage. Smith has dominated the battle for the most part, but two meetings ago Newman got Smith so frustrated he was ejected.
