Default Anyone awake here???

"Across the street" they have season previews, betting systems, even Excel spreadsheets with season schedule. Here we have...well the same story about meeting the Sabres. Come on puck lovers where you at?

Puck lover here. My own NHL fantasy draft is a week today. I cannot bet pre-season (like football) but I can't wait for the puck to drop! Go WINGS!

I think that it will wake up once the real games begin. Lots of excitement here already for the season to begin. Leafs fans have delusions of grandeur already about make a play for the Cup (Paul Maurice has gone on record that they will). This after two years without a playoff entrance. Hey Leaf fans, Jason Blake and Vesa Toskala aren't the answer...!

Toskala is a damn good goalie. I am a big Sharks fan, former season ticket holder, and I am very disappointed they gave him up for so little. But I understand they didn't want the dual goalie thing hanging over them anymore and wanted Bell out. Couture better turn out to be an All-Star is all I can say!

across the street are a couple of guyswith martingale systems. after one system blew up last yr -90 i believe they put in new rules so it would work.
I think martingales are what casinos are built on.
Going forward i will look at some of last yr stats for clues. LY temas that were net under were carolina columbus dallas edmonton minn san j vancouver rangers and n.j.if yoiu note 5 of the teams out west in 2 div were net unders. outside of the midwest the others all seem to play tight games unless they are playing l.a. or phoenix which were either over or flat . so dallas edmt minn vancouver sanj good under teams in division play. On the other side of the coin Nash-Det headto head were mainly over, as is phoenix -la headto head
The most interesting part of the season for bettors may take place in FEB-MAR, the number of ties jumps from around 18 to 25+. It appears the teams fighting for playoff spots all want one point per night. file this away.
will try and post some games based on ly head to head going foward. west only. regards all heart222

In terms of futures, I am awfully tempted to put some money down on those same Sharks at +1250 (roughly) at The Greek. Senators at +800 or so was not much to offer. I think that the Sharks are the team to beat, but I also thought that last year. The problem is getting out of the strong West with Ducks and Wings. Hope Forsberg makes up his mind soon on where to play.

Problem for every team are...the other teams. Its hard to say any team is a big favorite in the NHL because of this and I have a hard time ever putting money down on futures. The one way it can work out is midseason if you have a team which struggles early and has its odds adjusted. The Sharks went up a bit last year and I almost took a bite as they started out around .500. About the only way I really find values in futures.
