Anaheim - Dallas
I have to ride these activated Mighty Ducks. Cup holders are 9-2-2 after Weight and Niedermayer joined to the team. They won last 6 home games. Even if they didn't played their top game against Sharks last round, they still achieved to win it. They were trailing 1-3 in the second period, but managed to equalize 28 seconds before the end. But that wasn't all. After another 33 seconds they killed Sharks in OT. Probably no need to say how boosting effect have these situations for players confidence and antoher match motivation. On the other hand Dallas. Strong team for sure. Zubov will probably start. But actually they are far from shining. They lost 4 from last 5 away games , lost last 2 and mainly their last loss wasn't just enjoyable. At LA they were 2-0 up after only 3:36 min., but lost that match at OT in the end. So both teams are in different actual form and eventually in different state of mind, moral or confidence. In such a situation even fact that Anaheim didn't managed to beat Stars in their last 7 H2H(after 60 min.) don't stop me. I can even imagine that this fact increases Ducks motivation. Ideal time to stop this trend. Anaheim, @ 2,0, Nordicbet, 5/10, good luck |

Carolina(+0,5)AH, @2,25, Pinnacle, 3/10
Even if Carolina isn't at their best actually, they have still everything to play for, as they are fighting on the top of their division. They will be highly motivated like everybody is when plying in Ottawa. They were successful in 3 of their last 5 visits in Ottawa and I can't see reason for their massive understimating. Especially when Ottawa is actually far from fortress as they didn't manage to win 4 from last 5 in regulation and 4 from last 5 at home in regulation. |

In general, high odds betting is long way run even if it's value betting, but I am sure that it's the only way to success in NHL. In NHL almost doesn't exist favourite. All teams have very good hockey quality and the competition has too much games...motivation of stronger teams can't be still on maximum and all in all it's really unpredictable.
San Jose - Chicago Chicago ML, @3,0, Pinnacle, 2/10 I'll be short. San Jose lost last 4 games, is mediocre at home(won only 9 from 24 games). Chicago isn't force at away, but has still better ratio(10 w from 22 g) than Sharks at home. Incl. OT Chicago won last 4 games(3 at away). These odds are too high generally in NHL(I saw very interesting statistic which proved that you will be in profitt when betting only all odds above @3,0) and are even higher when we add above mentioned. |

Rangers - Atlanta
Rangers(-1,5), @2,36, Pinnacle, 2/10 Only low stakes, as value is too small in these odds. Still, there are some facts speaking for another Rangers win. They won this matchup two days ago at home 4-0. They are in desperate need of points. Atlanta don't only lose that match, but was even heavily 14-39 outshooted. It was their 4th loss in a row incl. 1-10 trashing at Buffalo. It seems Atlanta really look forward to All stars break. It's still not all. Atlanta will be without one of team leaders Kowalchuk tonight and it's another blow for their ofense. I would go for Trashers win in really high odds, but not in this situation in the end. But only small stakes recommended. |

Montreal(OT included) at Washington, @2,11, Pinnacle, 3/10
Small stakes. I have couple of reasons to see these odds valuable. Montreal won this duel 2 days ago at home 4-0, Montreal is in strong form winning 7 from last 10, Montreal is one of the best away teams with 17 wins from 27 games, Montreal dominates H2H. As I said, only small stakes as Washington played offensivelly good games recently at home and they have Ovechkin, but all in all I can't see Montreal as outsider of this game. |
