worked on a hockey system, stealing thoughts from a few different sources to incorporate it into one simple (?) theory. ran it for the past 2 weeks and it showed a profit of $730 based on $100 units. Plays went 17 - 9, on both favs and dogs. will post the plays on a daily basis.
i do not claim to be an authority on hockey, although i do follow it on an irregular basis. system is based on probability and negative values dealing with win %, home ice and the vegas money line converted to a point basis.
DISCLAIMER:
it is not a perfect system, although early returns are positive. sample size of 2 WHOLE weeks is less than adequate.

Quick question where do people get these "Systems" do they generate them based on there own theories or get them from someone else?

i am not embarassed to admit that this "recipe" was taken from 3 different sources and uses some probability analysis. two hockey threads from eog and a basketball thread from across the street. combining systems from 2 sports seemed ridiculous so i thought i would give it a try. the best part about systems is that they should, although not always, take emotion out of the equation.
as far as other people's systems and theories, most are passed down or passed around, while others try to figure out angles themselves.
