Maybe I shouldn't be posting picks as they turn out to be losers. I should limit myself to providing info and stats on some games. But I'm a gambler and a hockey fan so I'll try again. NY Rangers -101 (2 units): With the acquisition of Peter Sykora from the Ducks, the Rangers are trying to add to an offense that's been mainly focusing on Jagr. After losing 3 in a row in OT, Rangers, backed by the return of Lundqvist in goal, blanked Florida 4-0. Flames had a 4-game winning streak come to a stop in Vancouver after a questionable penalty call. This is their 2nd game of a 4 game road trip (heading to Uniondale before playing in Minnesota next). San Jose -1.5 +230 (1 unit): Joe Thornton's return to Boston coincides with Andrew Raycroft knee injury (although he will still be in the nets tonight). Tim Thomas, Providence goalie, was recalled as a back up. Bruins come off 2 big wins against Tampa Bay and Ottawa while the Sharks have won 3 in a row ( home games). They'll be playing in Ottawa and Montreal on this short road trip. M$M BTW, a discrepancy in Pinny lines. They have the Flames as favourites at -109 and the -1.5 puck line on the Rangers side. Edit #2: Line has just changed to -105 for both sides. Last edited by Million Dollar Man; 01-10-06 at 05:27 PM. |
