Devils +115
been waiting for this game since Saturday when Marty got SHELLED - giving up 4 goals in no time @ all and got pulled playing Marty Brodeur in the next game after he got shelled is one of the very best plays in NHL HISTORY i can promise you Marty has had about 72 hours to think about the last game - as has his team andwe are gonna see a GREAT effort from them tonite i also have a hard fast rule - ANY TIME Marry and the Devils are a dog - PLAY THEM - and for good reasons - the Devils are 10-1 their L11 as a dog and have a BETTER road record than Toronto has @ home (Tor is a .500 team @ home and NJ wins about 2/3rds of the time on the road) it does need to be noted here that Toronto is 1 of only 2 teams in his career in which Marry has a losing record against (Vancouver) @ 12-13-1 but tonite he evens that to .500 the last time these 2 met we all saw what happened - GOON Cam Janssen took out Tomas Kaberle with a blatant cheap shot - Kaberle has NOT returned since that - and could play tonite although he is NOT expected to play. look for the Leafs' fans to boo Janssen every chance they have - and i actually like that because now the fans will lose focus of what is most important in this game - WINNING and not revenge rigjht now the Leafs are fighting for a playoff spot sitting 2 points out but with games in hand so they DESPERATELY need 2 points here. they might get 1 - but they are NOT gonna get 2 - but NJ needs this win just as much to increase its lead over the fast charging Pens in the race for the #2 overall East spot with a first round playoff matchup agains one of the dreg teams like Carolina or NYR and NOT Ottawa which is almost assuredly locked into the 4 or 5 playoff spot and is a MUCH tougher opponent than any of the "last team in" ones i will add that so far this season i am getting my head handed to me in the NHL and therefore rarely play it anymore - but this game and ESPECIALLY this line "woke me up" Devils +115 is the SINGLE BEST PLAY on the ENTIRE board tonite - BAR NONE! |

No Elias, no Gionta, no Madden...tough to win against a team that is Desperate to win to make the playoffs without 3 of their top 4 forwards. Surprised they werent bigger dogs to be honest.
Wings are tied at 1 so hopefully that will even you up. |
