Default Ducks/Wings - Series Winner here!

this will be the BIGGEST BET of 2007 for me on this series

simply put

WRONG TEAM FAVORED

Ducks are the MUCH better team - and honestly - not even close. if the Ducks didn't have a billion injuries during the season Friday's G1 is in Anaheim not Hell (Detroit - same thing)

when looking at this series the word "too" comes into play here because when you compare the 2 teams

Ducks are TOO: fast, strong, smart and much better than the Wings

as we all saw in the series with Sharkey's Machine - SJ was the better team - just too stupid to be able to put away the Wings. Ducks WILL NOT have that problem

this series NEVER gets to G7 - Ducks in 5 or 6

how big a bet is this for me? when i made my play @ The Pig the Ducks were +115 until i made my wager - and then the Ducks were changed to +110 after i made my play

HockeyNut and i have spoken to each other about this series. i will NOT say who he likes because i don't wanna ruin his business and give out something for free that he will charge others. maybe once the series begins he can chime in and say who he played. i will say that no matter what he said i was gonna play the ducks, anyway so don't try and read anything into it thinking we agree or disagree here

i also played the Ducks +140 in G1 and if they lose i will bounce back just as much in g2 because the ONLY WAY this series goes back to Anaheim 2-0 is if the DUCKS have that lead. you can mark this in stone: Wings will NOT come to Anaheim UP 2-0 - NO WAY IN HELL! NONE!

The series bet i made was @ +115 but as i said - after i made my play it got chopped down to +110. Ducks +140 in G1 is a play i made with a number out there now

I like the Ducks in game 1, but will reserve betting judgement on the series a bit longer. GL.

Redstorm aint gonna like this but I don't disagree, I feel that series will be no worse than a 1-1 split for Anaheim. I feel the same way about Ottawa in their series. My basic strategy is, bet both road teams game one, not just because I like the road teams but because I like the value as well. If they lose double up for game two. If I lose again lick my wounds and call it a day. Actually if I get burnt on Ottawa I'll probably call it a season. Most of my eggs are in Ottawa's basket while yours are in Anaheim's.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see one of the road teams return home with a 2-0 series lead. More likely I think we'll see a split, with the loser bouncing back in game two. I'm loving the series price on Ottawa, I think the wrong team is favored in that series. There could be a nice scalping opportunity on the series price, especially if Ottawa were to win game one. I have gone all it on Ottawa but I don't have the balls you do in regards to Anaheim. I'm done trying to handicap Detroit's games but I strongly believe Anaheim will come away with a split in Detroit, after that who knows.

Totally agree WINK, I think the wrong team is favored also.......Sharkies faded again, PP that was real strong could not score...etc... Holmstrom return definitely made a difference for Detroit in their comeback but I think Anaheim takes this series...........I believe we see a Buffalo-Anaheim final, I feel quite strong about both these semis, we'll see GL fellas!!

Great game tonight, gotta tip the hat to Hasek who stole one tonight. I'm not sure who's gonna win this series but if Hasek keeps playing the way he has been so far it's gonna be awfully tough for Anaheim to beat the Wings. Anaheim was the better team tonight but it means nothing if you don't win the game.

I think Detroit needs to generate some more shots on Gigure, like Emery he hasn't been really tested so far. Although I think Gigure is a better goalie 19 shots just isn't enough. I don't think Hasek can play like that every night or can he? This series does look like a potential 7 gamer. I think a lot of people thought the Ducks would roll over Detroit in this series. Detroit might not win the series, but as tonight has shown it wont be a cakewalk by any stretch of the imagination.

I wouldn't touch this series with a 10 foot pole. Detroit has to play much better than they did last night though or Hasek will have to play like that every game. Confidence and momentum is a strange thing in the NHL, a bounce here and there coupled with an amazing goaltender performance could be all the Wings needed to get them on their way.

I think Anaheim will earn a split in Detroit. Now if Anaheim loses game two as well, then I think it might be time to start thinking of Detroit in the Stanley Cup finals. Although I think the situation would be a lot more dire for Buffalo going down 2-0. At least Anaheim gets to go back home but they have to win in Detroit to advance. Like I said earlier, I have no idea who wins this thing but I see the series being tied heading to Anaheim.

probably series because ducks will be dogs in det and faves in anaheim although if you look at things - ducks have to win 4 of the next 6 including at least 1 in detroit

figure ducks come about -130 at home or -125 and around the opposite on the road for each game and you can do the math and see where to go

that was SCARY! but a win is a win

Honda Center is gonna be an insane asulym tuesday. ducks WILL win G3 meaning G4 will be interesting. ducks win that one - series is probably over but if the wings win then ducks gotta find a way to win one more in MI - but realistically - ducks SHOULD be UP 2-0 and if so - series is REALLY over

Ducks are scraping by, not what I was expecting in game two. They're lucky they didn't lose this game too. I think Detroit will take a game in Anaheim. The next two games will probably tell us if we'll have a 6 or 7 game series on our hands. I'm still not sure who takes this series though.

I agree w/ Winky. Ducks emotion should carry the day in game 3, then game 4 is when the Wings have to make their stand.

I gotta admit that was a hard earned win for the ducks. They did a great job coming back last night. Looking at Detroit, they just didn't have the legs. They just couldn't keep it out of their zone.
I really thought Detroit had it there, until that fluke 3 goal in Haseks pad! Dumbass slides into the net! Frustrating. Congrats fellas on the win!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

did you watch G1? if so you saw the wings get BOTH goals on flukes - and w/o those - who knows where this series is - it very well could be 2-0 ducks and i think we can all agree if it is 2-0 ducks SERIES OVER!

You're crazy man! Why do you keep dwelling on the past! There's no such thing as could be now...forget about all this could be crap. It's 1-1. Besides your ducks defensiveman played like shit that game, those weren't flukes, especially the first one. That's always done. Someone puts it on net and sometimes they bounce around and go in. That's hockey. Hasek slides into the goal..that's hockey too. fluke or no fluke, the dumbass slides into the goal but all because moen puts in on net!!! The series isn't over yet! Yeah you're ducks are good, but quit talkin' like they're the best team out there! Even if they do get past Detroit, They won't beat Ottawa, so stop the nonsense. Give it up, your team ain't gonna win the cup!!! They couldn't beat Jersey and they won't beat Ottawa either....if they get that far!
