The Sabres get er' done again tonight and sweep the remaining games to go on and win the Cup.
I'd like to see that anyhow. How do you see the game playing out? I see Buffalo as high as a $1.30 favorite right now. (total of 5½). I will defiantly be in the Sabres corner today at 2:05 PM and I am leaning to the under also. Enjoy Men and then we get to watch the NASCAR ALL Star event afterwords. ![]() |

Under is more likely now. Let's go Sabres.

This is going to be a very heated 3rd period. I suspect Ottawa will try and put em' away out of the locker room, but I am keeping the faith. It almost appeared the officials were siding with Buff early. Maybe they will help in the 3rd. That second goal by Ottawa was sweet I must say.

Sweet goal off a non call on Emery. Our Sabres, Pete, need an evenly called 3rd period or we're doomed.

After listening and watching 40 minutes of this, who is watching the NBA that it allegedly gets higher ratings? Why don't I ever get to be a Nielsen family?

Well it's all over except for the crying. Once again terrible officiating, and for a change both fan bases have a legitimate beef. Let "em play refs pleaaaaaase. Now to be fair, I thought Ottawa morphed into the Ducks at times taking undisciplined penalties especially in the third period. Three of the penalties they took were just stupid undisciplined and an easy call for the ref to make. The others well you know, horrible. As for the game itself, minus all the penalties it pretty much played out how I thought it would. A tight game decided by a goal, I thought the Sabres were the better team in regulation. In OT though the Sens completly dominated.
Sabres had a great year, nothing to be ashamed of, the Sens were just the better team. I'm sure they'll be some that think Buffalo choked under the expectations but I'm not one of those people. The PP was the only area where I thought the Sabres underachieved in this series. Even their penalty kill got a lot better as the series went on. Ottawa didn't record a PP goal the last 3 games of this series. Looking ahead, I think Ottawa is going face a much stiffer challenge whomever comes out of the West. I've been riding Ottawa since the playoffs started but I think it might be time to get off that horse. I think Emery will finally get tested in the upcoming series and don't think the results will be overly positive. He'll never see 15 shots for an entire game, a period perphaps but not a game and they'll be quality chances at that. I'll be a bigger believer in Emery when he puts in a performance like Hasek in game one of the West final or Giguere in game four but getting way ahead of myself here. |

I'll add one thing, I gotta give ton of credit to Alfredson. This guy has been torched by some of the talking heads for past playoff failures but this guy has been absolute money this postseason. If Ottawa wins the cup he's the slam dunk Conn Smythe winner, he might still win it a la Giguere in a loss.
