Default Monday oct.10

Record: 5-7-0 (-5.11 units)

Flo-Isl U6 -112 (2 units): Roberto Luongo and Rick DiPietro have done very well so far. Luongo has already registered two shutouts, including one against TB, while Di Pietro was outstanding at home, stopping Carolina. Panthers power play is struggling (2 for 23) while their penalty killing unit has only allowed one goal in 22 attempts. Although a shoot-out is often the case between these two teams, defense should prevail this time around. I'm counting on both goalies to perform in the first period and set the tone.

Ottawa -1.5 +132 (2 units): Toronto played poorly in their own zone last saturday and it will be a long night if they leave Belfour all by himself. Sens have one of the best PP in the league while the Leafs allowed 2 power play goals to Montreal in 4 tries. Sundin is out. So is Jeff O'Neill, who was a real threat in first match-up vs Ottawa. He's expected to return from his shoulder injury on tuesday against Philly.

Florida +112 (1 unit): Just because I like this value and Panthers are impressive defensively.

Tampa Bay -1.5 +199 (1 unit): Another great value. Line is high because we have two teams with a reputation of close results. But early season, this looks more like a 5-2 game. The Lightning should outshoot and outscore the Bruins and Grahame will impress his old team.

Pittsburgh +119 (1 unit): Penguins will have to win some day and Marc-Andre Fleury's first start might just be what they needed. Buffalo has done well at home so far, beating the Islanders and the Bruins, but they looked quite anemic in Ottawa. Biron will likely get the start for the Sabres. Will this be another game decided by a shoot-out?
