NY 42-27-13 (Road 17-14-10) NJ 46-29-7 (Home 25-14-2) Rangers were 7-1 vs the Devils this season. During their last twelve games the under has played 9-2-1. This could be the best series of the first round. We see this series going seven games with either team having a chance to advance. New York allowed the fourth fewest goals per game in the league and a key to consider is the Under. In the last 32 meetings between the two, they have played Under 20-6-6. For what it's worth. ![]()

Critical factor here is Brodeur, a proven winner and money goalie. His supporting cast is weak and they do not create a lot of offense. If Lundqvist is the real deal and can play with Brodeur, it seems the Rangers have an edge. Jagr, Gomez, Shanahan, Drury are all proven playoff performers. Last year's collapse with the Rangers may leave a bitter taste and give them something to prove. I like the Rangers here too. Best series of them all? I'd say that Anaheim-Dallas will be an excellent series too, as well as San Jose-Calgary. Calgary has given the Sharks fits. How can you not like Montreal-Boston as a classic matchup and even the Sens-Pens. To me, the Wild series looks like a bore! No offense. Wings SHOULD make short work of the Preds. Preds would have a better chance with Vokoun between the pipes.

Rangers win first game 4-1. Next game is Friday and again in New Jersey. Don't let the first game fool you. As long as Brodeur is in net, the Devils have a chance. This will be a low-scoring, hard fought series. Looking at Devils and under for second game. Have not locked in yet. Will post our picks for this series for those who care.

New York wins second game 2-1 to take a 2-0 lead. All the scoring was in the third period. Under is coming into play. Last 34 meetings are now 21-7-6 to the under. Next game is Sunday (7 est) in New York. We have the same feeling Duck but can't see a sweep. Jersey will win one in NY.

You nailed it Duck. New Jersey wins last night 4-3. The series is now 2-1. Over has played 2-1. They are setting the line at O/U 4.5 for every game. Devils may even this thing up. Again, good call on last night Duck.

Game four tonight in New York (7 pm). Not sure this means much in the playoffs but Rangers have covered 10 of 12 revenging a home loss vs opponent this season. The O/U is set at 4.5 again. Will wait until later to lock in selection.

Tonight we take Montreal -240 over Boston and the Under. Hate to lay that much but can't go against Canadiens. Montreal is 14-1 in last 15 games vs Boston, winning last 9 at Molson Centre. Last 3 series games were decided by 1 goal. Boston is 1-17 on power plays in series, goals that lost games 2 and 4 for them were power play goals by Canadiens. Under is 4-0 for series.

After getting smoked last night hope to win some back today. Rangers and Under 5 Nash/Det Over 5 Dallas Would love to take Detroit but not at -265. One bad beat is enough after losing on Montreal last night. Play at your own risk.

I BELIEVE AS MANY AS HALF OF THE DEVILS SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ARE RANGER FANS........HOME COURT FOR THE DEVILS PROBABLY WORKS FOR ALL TEAMS THEY PLAY EXCEPT FOR THE RANGERS....... IF HENRIK PLAYS AS HE HAS BEEN PLAYING (ABOUT HALF THE GOALS THE DEVILS SCORED WERE OF THE FLUKE VARIETY), THE RANGERS WILL BE TOUGH FOR ANY OPPONENT THE REST OF THE WAY..... CALLAHAN, DUBINSKI, DAWES, STAAL, MARA AND GIRADI ARE EXCELLENT YOUNG LEGS THEY NEED TO COMPLIMENT THE SEASONED PROS IN JAGR, DRURY, GOMEZ AND SHANAHAN.......TOSS IN STRAKA WHO SEEMS TO BE GETTING HOT AT THE RIGHT TIME.............ADD A TOUCH OF AVERY..........SPRINKLE IN A VERY SOLID AND UNDERRATED DEFENSEMAN IN TUYTIN AND YOU MAY HAVE A STANLEY CUP.......
