NO SURPRISES IN SENIOR TRENDSETTER ON SUNDAY

Favorites reigned in the $12,500 second leg of the Senior Trendsetter Series on Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands.

Crawdad [$2.60, $2.20, $2.20] kicked off fourth-over cover at the top of the stretch and flew home to win the first Senior Trendsetter division in 1:53.3. Driven by Andy Miller, Crawdad flashed a final panel of 26.1 seconds to best Foxy Move [$3.60, $2.10] by a head in the second race. Philos Hanover [$2.10] grabbed the show spot.

Crawdad improved his 2007 record to four wins in six starts for trainer Erv Miller and the Red Barn Stable of Morrison, Illinois. Lifetime, he has banked $70,691.
Sixth race favorite Natural Talent [$3.40, $2.60, $2.20] captured his Senior Trendsetter spilt in similar fashion, rallying off a fourth-over trip to nail Hurricane Jeff [$7.20, $3.60] by head at the wire. He won the afternoon’s sixth race in 1:54.3, with David Miller in tow. Tiger Tinch [$3.40] closed for third.

Trained by Bo Boudon, Natural Talent was claimed for December 13, 2006 by owners John Fodera, Martha Frank, Anthony Ferrara and Steven Wienick. Since then, he has won five of seven starts and earned $51,770. The gelding improved his career stats to 13 wins and $87,806 in earnings.

In the third race Senior Trendsetter division, 8-5 second choice Hard To Beat [$5.20, $3.60, $2.60] lived up to his name with a wire-to-wire victory in 1:52.4 for driver Ron Pierce and trainer Ross Croghan. The pocketsitter Life In My Day [$6.40, $3.60] was second, while Category Six [$3.00] finished third after a first-over journey. The favorite Looselipssinkships had too much ground to make up in the stretch and finished fifth.

The $76,000 Senior Trendsetter Series Final is next Sunday, February 25

No luck with my 457 on the other side hit a few small exacta's and said $2 exacta box in the 10th using Dave.....
