The decision was made to cancel on Thursday afternoon when an ominous forecast for snow and ice was called for Thursday night and Friday MEADOWLANDS CANCELS LIVE RACING FOR MARCH 16; OPEN FOR SIMULCASTING UNTIL 6 PM The Meadowlands has canceled live racing for Friday, March 16, because of a storm of snow and sleet that is expected to continue into the evening.
