There has been a huge outpouring of support in response to Ramsey Clark's last letter, but we must do more to reach our goal, and we will. In the letter, Mr. Clark detailed the historic crimes of the Bush administration, and explained the urgent necessity to move to impeach. He also announced that the impeachment movement is working to place new ads in the New York Times and other newspapers in the coming weeks and months.
Today we want you to have a first look at the new ad: it features in bold type the words "Tyranny at Home, Genocide Abroad," and condemns the Bush administration for its disastrous domestic and foreign policies. For a full view of the new ad, click here or on the image to the right.
The response we've received to Mr. Clark's letter shows that the impeachment message is an idea whose time has come. Many people gave generous donations, without which it would be impossible for this advertising campaign to continue.
People are fed up and want change. They want high government officials who commit criminal acts to be held accountable.
The broad and bold impeachment ad campaign of ImpeachBush.org/VotetoImpeach has made amazing progress. We have run newspaper ads that have reached millions of people with the message of impeachment. These full page ads have appeared in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Boston Globe, USA Today and many other papers. Over 740,000 people have signed on to this movement online and by hard copy petitions, more sign every day.
Along with the ongoing advertising campaign, we will continue our mobilization efforts to get Congress to introduce articles of impeachment.
