Sources "in the know" have just informed EOG that BODOG has acquired BetWWTS...

Although no "official" spokesman from either party will confirm or deny this until all the paperwork is completed, I personally believe this is true...

According to our source who spoke under the condition of anonymity, he states, "It's a done deal but all the dots have to be in place and all the "t'"s crossed before a publically traded company can make such an announcement...

Obviously, this would be GREAT NEWS for those who have been waiting patiently for their money....

An official announcement is expected within the next 24-48 hours...

Please don't ask for any more details because it would all be speculation at this point...

That is great news. BoDog isn't going anywhere. I trust them as much as any book and more than I trust Neteller at this time.

That is tremendous news. I had already chalked up another large loss from my WWTS account. I haven't played much at Bodog lately, but always liked them.

In fact, years ago I used to play at thebigbook.com, which I believe was acquired by BoDog.

I am quite pleased by this news and barring any unforeseen circumstances, it's a done deal...

Had Bodog not stepped up to the plate, I believe that things could have turned out disastrous...

There is no justification for not paying out players when they ask for their money...

Hope this helps everyone out. I haven't played at either WWTS or Bodog but it sounds like the situation is getting better because of this.

Hope Bodog gets some of the post up money in the deal - doubt it. If the players cannot immediately cash out the deal is still a BOS.

Let's not forget the revered William Scott and Jessica took the money and ran. Probably got all their money up front. Probably have not helped or offered to help the players one iota by offering to take the company back. They did or did not do those things because their risk was not worth the reward. They did not care about the players money They did not care that the new morons might go broke.

Let's call a spade a spade. WWTs was not worth jack shvt without William Scott at the helm and he knew that before he left.

I used to play @ Bodoggie, as you will find decent dog prices. Their odds aren't very competitive but they are solid. Always paid me very quickly, with no hassles.

awesome news! I wonder if all of our account will be moved to bodog or they will keep the wtts name. My money was in the betholdem pokeroom but they moved all poker monies to sportbook, i assume to pump up the sportbook numbers to potential buyers.

Willl BODOG keep the WWTS name or blend all of WWTS'S customers into BODOG?

Being a gambler, I'd bet on the latter choice....

definitely blend into the bodog name. it's more calvin's style. i don't really play at bodog, and have been known to give them a hard time for posting late lines to avoid exposure. but i think it shows real nuts to acquire wwts as well as still cater to the u.s. client, and i congratulate them.

Given all the money Bodog spends on branding and marketing, I would have to believe they would just pull everyone into Bodog.

shrink, its obviously you dont know for certain but gun to head...what you think bodog does with those with balances...can withdraw any/all funds without question or you think they might make players do a rollover?

My guess is that Bodog paid a sufficient amount to WWTS to BUY them out, and not to BAIL them out...

Therefore, gun to my head- No rollover, all US accounts go under Bodog umbrella...

Shrink could be right this time but he has been WRONG numerous times on these breaking stories. That is the reasoning for Bigbet's claim. I was thinking the same thing as him.

If he is right about the breaking news regarding Bodog, then he was wrong about WWTS stealing $. I know, I know. This drives traffic.

Excellent question. I have heard that BODOG may be acquiring more than simply the US customers from WWTS, but there are so many legal hurdles which have to be worked out, and I am not a lawyer....

I have shared a lot, and now we are speculating, so why not just sit back and wait for the official announcement which should occur tomorrow or Friday...

Depends on the deal. If WWTS is acquired and no longer operating your account will be closed, otherwise it should stay at WWTS. The announcement if and when it comes should clarify this.

It will be interesting to see how Bodog handles this. I suspect they will transfer all WWTS accounts under their own umbrella.

I have had Bodog as an outlet for years. I love their inflated lines on TV games. Customer service, and payout wise Bodog is FIRST CLASS all the way. You will never have problems withdrawing from Bodog, and they also give you 10% reloads with hardly any rollover.

Thanks for the "breaking" news SHRINK. Sounds like great news for the industry.

I hope for the player's sake this rumor is correct. But then again I believe someone here wanted to bet on BOS being open for football after they shut down. Rumors are just that, rumors, till the paperwork is signed. Calvin might get hot feet if the DOJ decides to put a little pressure on him. BTW, has anyone seen ole Calvin since Carruthers was arrested? Any press releases from BoDog about his latest exploits? Maybe he has come to his senses and will quit bringing down heat on the industry.
