The episode sbr dude and rainbow mentioned did happen in 2002. The owners of BetUS got in debt with other bookmakers by laying off action (parlays).

It indeed took them months or close to one year to settle their debts.

From what I understand, but rainbow may feel free to correct me, they repaid everyone. In one specific case one very well known and respected bookmaker claims he got never paid interests on the debt. BetUS owners never acknowledged interests therefore the two are still at fight.

Once again: the episode took place in 2002 and was resolved (besides the above mentioned ongoing feud) by 2003.

I'm far from understanding the logics of the sbr dude.

Better if his logic applies (never forget the original sin) he should be fingerpointed at as aggravated child molester and all you guys would be better off keeping your kids away from him before he beats the crap out of them.

Then again, by his own public admission, the sbr dude was charged of aggravated child molestation in 2000, pleaded guilty and went through family rehab.

He seems to deserve a second chance. Why others, like BetUS, don't?

Will you give back the advertising money you received from the "theives and crooks" (your words) to BoS, so that it could help some of the players recoup their losses?

I would think for anyone that preaches the moral high ground this would be an easy question to answer and a easy request to make happen. It would show everyone you really are a good preacher of right and wrong and not the Ted Haggard that I and many others know you are.

If you believed they were "theives and crooks" why would you have promoted them with a tracking code on your site? Why would you have taken blood money off the players you protect. Just does not make any sense to me Ted, I mean John.

Why is it that just last April we (Sean, Roberto, John, Shrink, and myself) sat around laughing and hanging out "seemingly" having a good time. (At least I had a good time) and then we end up here with Roberto and John battling like enemies and showing such dis-respect for each other on the forums. I cannot bring myself to that. If I don't like you, care about you or really have hatred for you I am not going to sit and act like I am having a good time while live and in person with you. Was it all just a big show or did I dream it? You guys made verbal agreements to work more together and to be friendlier to each other. I was there. Why the display of dislike on forum but in person, whether in Las Vegas or in Costa Rica, do you act buddy, buddy, but then back behind the keyboard act like such? :doh1

Be yourself whether online or in person. None of us are perfect and without mistake. (NONE OF US).

I do like all of you and even though we may disagree on some things, I do not want to resort to such attacks after sitting and having good times with you in person.

What am I missing? I guess you were just sitting around laughing it up so to try and get any and all info from each other to share with others. Always looking for dirt on somebody so to post and look like you know something special. Always looking to have something so to harm the other emotionally or to be able and embarrass on forum.

I won't go that route.

Who started it? I don't know, but can't one party stand up, set the example and be the better man? A better representative for your companies?

Probably not so carry on I reckon. If I have an issue with you or your business, I'll try and call you and not try and be the forum tough guy sharing the dirt I may know of. At least that is my expectation of myself.

I keep learning and learning and I keep trying to be a better person because life is going by so fast and there is a lot of wasted time in these arguments because I have seen little change in what we do over the course of several years now other than legislation and unfortunately, the lack of sports book reps posting with us because a few will always insult them every time they post. I miss the sports books posting on the boards. It is a shame that we have lost that on the boards for the most part.

General, I'll be honest. I think a lot of your posts are just filled with fluff, which I understand is probably part of your job as a moderator. But this is a fine post. Without being able to really comment on this particular situation, I totally agree with you on the concept. I can't stand it when people wear masks. If I like you, I'll be nice to you. If I don't, then I won't. I've never dealt with SBR John in any capacity, but I really enjoy his site and I think his ratings are the most objective ones out there. As for Roberto, I've met him a couple of times and he's a great guy to be around. I too think it would be great if everyone in the "watchdog" industry could work together, but I'm really not on that side of things so I'm in no position to comment as to whether or not it is feasible. I do get the feeling, however, that SBR John and Roberto go way back and some of their jabs with each other are in good fun.

This is a great post by the General. I don't like people that are two faced or fake either. I have always had an issue with SBR and that won't change. What I say to the man on the forums is the same thing I would say to him if I saw him face to face.

With that being said, it was a low blow for TOW to bring up the fact that John beat his kids and got arrested for it back in Texas. That sort of thing (people's families) should stay off the forum.

What do you mean by fluff, sir? I have met 100's of the readers in person so they can speak for me if they want to share their honest opinions on how I compare on and off the forums. In my own words, I am just a good ol boy from Indiana who tries to be himself. I am not wealthy monetarily, I am not intelligent, I am not college educated, I live in a home built in 1905, I drive a 1981 olds, and I am fat n ugly, too. There is nothing special about me, except I tend to honestly care for people in general. I have good people skills which is probably my best asset. I have friends and family reading the board (a son almost 20, too). How could I sleep at night acting like or putting on a show of something I am not when so many reading know me and what kind of person I am? I am, though, blessed with a great family.

I would post much more, too my friend, but in my current capacity, I don't have the time I used to. LOL. I know that may sound crazy. I am a posting junkie and I love the interaction with you guys and gals. I'm addicted for certain. I can't recall meeting you and I apologize for that but I was a drunken late nighter last year. I plan to be around more this year. Last year myself and Mr Audio strolled the streets 3rd shift sleeping in until 3 PM or so all week. Heck, I slept thru both football games last year.

I see this thread was hijacked. I was trying to get a little caught up on the Betonsports saga myself. But now that we are at it I will give my thoughts of the other topics here. Betus.com is a con book that is run by con men and the Shrink and General are con men to allow them to advertise here. SBR Jon and Bill Dozer are the TRUE watchdogs of this industry. Roberto has good intentions and Shrink is a two faced liar.

Shrink has been very open about his advertising policy. He has never actively pimped these dumps. He takes their money, but that's where it ends.

I don't agree with his policy, but I will say this. Shrink does let any poster speak the truth about the dumps up top. It is a free speech environment here.

Just curious, how do you distinguish Roberto from the group?

Back to the BOS story...(actually i dont give a fvck about the company) but something key was posted that seems like every one missed out on its importance.


The individual defendants asked Jackson to throw out the criminal case, arguing the indictment violates a World Trade Organisation treaty.

"The cross-border supply of gambling and betting services'' from Betonsports offices in Costa Rica is a service "which the United States commited to not prohibit'' when it joined the WTO, attorney Alan Ross said in court papers. Ross represents William Hernan Lenis, a direct-mail marketer.

The company maintained offices in Costa Rica and Antigua. In 2005, the World Trade Organisation ruled U.S. laws criminalising Internet-based remote-access gambling violated WTO treaty obligations, Ross, of the Miami law firm Robbins, Tunkey, Ross, Amsel, Raben & Waxman, said in court papers.

Prosecutors haven't filed papers opposing that motion.

I have underlined the most important line in the whole story..Being that the prosecutors have not protested the motion for outright dismissal being that the new laws are a violation of the WTO it could mean that pretty much every single person indicted under this bogus law could walk away scott free!!!!! and that the industry could turn right around and shoot off from where it left off.
The case should be dismissed on that basis alone because a judge cant come out and continue a case against and individual who was in full complaince of international law.

While I dont completely agree with redpimp or his joy in other peoples suffering, he is not completely wrong here. If you are a member of a forum like this where you are allowed to post anything regarding a sportsbook, then you cannot complain about being stiffed by BOS. There was plenty of warning regarding them being a sh*t book.

With posters like JC and Chuck Sims, there is plenty of posts out there regarding how bad BOS was and how bad they were at paying people. Too many people get roped in by big bonuses instead of staying with solid shops. If someone gets slow payed or no payed at Royal, would anybody be surprised. No, because there are plenty of threads here regarding their payment history.

That being said, my boy Jojo got f**ked by BOS, so I hope those pricks and their families all get cancer.

Yes, perhaps there was some warning about BOS ahead of time. What a lot of us didn't know, (I am included here) is the list all the houses in their stable. I was unaware that Infinity was part of BOS.

BoS is official delisted on the AIM, they have another status hearing on 2/1 for the civil case. I believe either BoS is going tell the judge the processors screwed them and didnt give them the money back to pay us, or they got a bulk of money and will be paying out within a few weeks after the status hearing. Hopefully we'll get some good news this week from BoS, I have been told they would have more info or know if they got the money by 1/25.
