BEFORE all of the bullshit with the offshore books being treated like they are by the Nazi's in our Govt - shrink said 2008 would be held in Vegas
HOWEVER
with all that has gone on lately - not so sure now
for me - i would love Vegas since it is 280 miles away and if i leave at the right times (like before the roosters wake up in the morning) i can do it in less than 4 hours
my guess is, though, 2007 and 2008 will be a case of "Deja Vu all over again"
if so - gonna have to think long and hard about attending - and seeing the women at this one - i will be both :houra
and as we said - all attempts will be made to have Miss EOG 2007 there and by then we should have a Miss EOG 2008 - and maybe she, too, can be there

and saying it was in Vegas was BEFORE we seen how everything went and how unvelievable it would be at the ATLANTIS... I just don't see how you can top it....and I believe you get rid of Free Loaders who just come for the hell of it to take advantage of a situation and get people who want to be there...Sure we lose some, but if it is announced early enough more can make plans....

1st, I pray that we do have a 2008 Blast and no matter I am certainly there, Lord willing. It is so fun to spend that face to face time with the fine people most all of you are from the EOG community.

Many options. I'd be willing to pay a small amount for decent accomodations anywhere, we had a great PROMO rate. Many who gamble can possibly get comped anyways. Also THEIR is a HUGE premium on VEGAS rooms on weekends (a football weekend in this case).

Hey Ovball. How have things been going? The Atlantis casino had a problem with us hosting a poker tourney so we had to ditch it, BUT Mr Jordan had no problem getting a poker tourney. Equality they say? Hmmmm.

With all due respect, NY in WINTER would be about my last choice...
The next EOG BLAST will be either at the ATLANTIS again or VEGAS...
But like so many have said, I don't see how VEGAS in FEBRUARY can TOP the BAHAMAS during the JORDAN GOLF CELEBRITY weekend..
I don't know the exact number of famous Athletes and movie starts (Michael Douglas, Goldie Hawn) I ran into, but it was in the double digits and for the most part, that was a lot of fun too...
I believe ALL the wives and significant others were thrilled....

I had my heart really set on Vegas, and was like "OH well next year." I have done a complete 180 though. Atlantis is the spot for sure. No way the Blast in Vegas would be better. I can't even begin to talk about all the reasons the Atlantis is the better place. Just trust me guys.

Well hard to compare Atlantis to a middle of the road Vegas casino. If you're talking comped rooms and activities at the Bellagio or the Wynn its obviously a different ballgame.
If you have it in warmer months, highly suggest Niagara Fallsview. Went to an event there awhile back and it was one of the best events I have ever attended. It wasn't even warm outside, but the facilities, the location, the casino, the rooms were all super. And of course not in the US, something we all unfortunately have to consider these days.
