Splitting kings, pulling g-strings, addicted to vodka

I am guessing at least 99% of every yob you clicked on this thread was hoping to find some sob story of how redpimp went to vegas with his little pathetic bankroll, lost it all, got a nasty disease from a two dollar ho and is now giving out bjs for a ticket back home....:+drinking

NOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTT

Been here in vegas since last saturday and was supposed to depart on monday. I was only here to check out sports betting and if i could move here until the basketball season run out or something!!!!

On that front, its a total waste of time to think you can make money in this city with the precision you have with the internet. The only one advantage you have is that because of the limited options you are likely to be more disciplined with your betting and probably cant chase your losses or wins if it means hitting two , three or more casinos to get down your max unit..(assuming that any one undertaking such an endevour would be betting at least 2 dimes a game or else you would be better off with a local)

Anyways, i have had a killer weekend:houra ...in sports and most shockingly while playing black jack...This was only supposed to be a time killer in between making plays and waiting for kick off times, but i ballooned to unbelievable winnings that made me constantly extend my stay day after day until i finally gave in and admitted to myself yesterday that i wouldnt get out of vegas until at least even monday next week..

Smart decision it was indeed. Because i had a killer 24 hour gaming spree (yes i was up for about 30 hours.. about 4 of which were spent at the spearmint)

Anyways some time early this morning, i was playing blackjack with some of the roudiest yobs i ever met. They had challenged me to prove that i can make 1k in about one hour of play in blackjack. They couldnt believe my story. so we went to the tables around 6am and played until like 1pm...

But the best part of the story is that i was on fire so much so that i hit the single biggest unbelievable hand of my life that even had the dealer shaking her head in total disbelief. See the guys at the table were cracking some jokes directed at me...(as i had the largest pile of money. over 7k in chips on the table) and i kept telling them, keep the jokes coming and i will start splitting kings. They dared me and i did it..

I got a pair of tens on one hand, then split it, dealer hits me with a 9 on the first 10 then and then follows up with another 10 for the second card. Every one at the table was goading me and challenged me to be a man and split them again so i did, and guess what the dealer puts on my second 10!!! She gives me a friggin ace!!!!:+excited- and she follows it with another 10 for the third card and i split that yet again. I know no one in the world will believe this but i got another 10 on top of the fourth card. Pit boss steps in and states that by rule i can only split kings 4 times max. so every one is cheering..(at least those who werent sweating their own plays) and the dealer cuts on like 5 cards in a row and totally busts out!!! The table went crazy!!! I mean no one could believe it and people watching were like that has got to be the luckiest mothafocker ever!!!! i made over 1k on that play alone and every ones jaw dropped...that was the highlight of the day but we did so much crazy shit mostly because one of the guys had nasty habit of standing on a 15 or 16!!!
It was unbelievable fellas...unbelievable!!!!

If i dont get thrown out of the hotel then this might be the most fun i have ever had in this city in a long time.

Re: Splitting kings, pulling g-strings, addicted to vodka

sounds like you are having a fantastic time!

It's an awesome feeling, having that kind of run on a blackjack table.

Good luck the rest of the time, and try and come home with some of it!

Be sure to tell us how the story ends in another week especially if you're still splitting kings.

He may have drawn a cheering crowd while doing this, but I suspect most were muttering "look at this idiot" under their breath.

..

i always like to let players know they can split any ten count cards; they do not have to be actual matches..>>

that really pisses off my fellow table players; but actually has no effect whatsoever on my win rate..!!

I think if you keep splitting ten's , the casino will order their sportbook to raise the max in the book to whatever you want! No more running to 2 or 3 casinos. Long as you keep splitting those babies! Sincerely though, glad you had a nice hit. Too rare out there now.

well boys i am back from my little vegas escapade...I have to say it was a blast....and king splitting vodka swilling, casino busting hell of a week.

REgarding the topic of splitting kings, i will not even waste one second of my time explaining to any one the merits of splitting faces. It is truly only that person who cant see beyond their nose that thinks splitting kings is a bad idea. I dont care how long you have played BJ if you have not figured out the advantage of splitting face cards well then more power to you.

But dont speak to me as though i were some daft child who is looking at magic yellow and purple chips sitting in my chest drawer. It is indeed silly to presume to take up a podium and begin to lecture some one outright telling you about one of the few tactics of his winning strategy. It would be a different story if this were sad sob story of some guy who lost his shirt but that is not the case.

I dont have time to get into the intricacies of las vegas BJ that is far different from what you may have read in books or play on your home computer. There are few ways to make money at it and i stumbled upon it. And yes splitting kings is a small part of the strategy.

Regardless, blackjack is was not my main interest, it was sports betting. However, i intend to return to the artificial city of gold and glitter and devote 1 quarter of my sports betting bankroll to blackjack while i finish out the nba season.

I am not yet entirely done emptying my online accounts (i resorted to emptying them through reverse bets placed between online and vegas sportsbooks.)

fellas, i am just relating my experience and short term plans. I am not seeking any ones sagely advice on how the city will chew me up and spit me out like it has done several thousand google eyed wannabe millionaires. Save me that swill heard before a million times and its definately worn out.

This was at least my 8th or 9th trip there and i have made up my mind to return just for the summer, do my thing, clean out the rest of my online books and be merry!!!

cheerio folks!!!!! :houra :houra :houra

one more thing i forgot....

I know all you guys have heard that stupid bullshit about never tipping your dealers!!!!

Fellas, thats the biggest pile of crud i have ever heard!!! A happy dealer is your very best fucking friend!!!! And if you keep your dealer happy as hell they have the potential to help you out immensely!!! OMG some of those dealers are outright stealing from the casino!!!! I was shocked at the little things that go on at casinos where dealers outright help you out with shit!!!!

there are so many suttle things a dealer can do for you to help you win. From delaying the shuffle, (yes believe it or not thats one of the few things a dealer can get away with even with the camera watching. I am guessing this is one rule they are not required to follow strictly in at least in single deck)

to even dropping you a hint when to bet more, (one dealer who i sat with for over 4 hours and was up huge, casually commented that i should take a walk after a bunch of tourists filled up the whole table. It took me a few more losing hands to realize that my strategy was totally bum fucked to hell with people hitting 17s against a dealer's 3... And the funny thing was she kept asking me if i had eaten dinner yet, and telling me cool places to go eat, or that i should go out for some fresh air..(i had mentioned that i was suffering from sore throat because i was indoors for over 72 hours and that recycled air conditioned bullshit really messes with me.)

I cant tell you exactly how your particular dealer will help you out. Its not a guarantee. They all have different tactics, they all read and judge their players in their own way. One dealer i hit up during the first couple of days was a cool guy. He would drop me hints that the deck was ripe so to speak and it was time to up my bets. (He would say things like two more hands before the shuffle or drop heavy hints about the deck getting better..)

it took me a while to catch on, but i did. We ran our thing and i made over 4k at his tables in about 3 days. when he got moved to the six deck shoes, i moved on to another dealer at mandalay bay...

While watching the superbowl, the dealer we had was the coolest. There were 3 of us at the table all game long sitting infront of a large plasma screen. It was all a guy could ask for free drinks, big game on tv, with comfy seats and this was the dealer who was totally holding the shuffle for us and would alert you to some general deck status crap by talking about the previous hands...(she would talk about the previous hands and i could tell when she was hinting that the low cards were all gone or that high cards were left)

They will not give you out right signals with funny scratches to their stomach or anything like that...(although i had one dealer dare me a more than a couple of times to put a black chip and i did not lose a single time she dared me.)

I also had another dealer who would always ask me if i was sure i wanted to double down against a 10 or even remind me that i am allowed to double down for less and not the full amount....It took me a few hands to realize that every time he asked this question i would lose...(because if the dealer has a 10, they have to check their second card to see if they have blackjack. They get a glimpse of the card underneath and know the play before hand)

Yes i know that most will say never to double down against a dealers 10 but
doubling down is the best way to beat the house on single deck.

each dealer will have their own way of helping you out..(not all of them will do this) But if you are going to devote 2 or 3 hours of play at the same table, talk to your dealer get to know them, and pick up these hints..

i didnt mean help you with how to play the game of course any dealer will help you out if you ask them what you are supposed to do...

but there is help then there is help.....

Say the dealer is showing an 8 and a player has 16. you are supposed to hit that, however, i have seen dealers outright tell the non tipping obnoxious drunk across the table, that its your money, you can hit or stay..(thats not help really) A well tipped dealer will probably say that you gotta hit your 16 against a dealer's 10 every time and probably babble on the value of being consistent.

Re: Splitting kings, pulling g-strings, addicted to vodka

if u know the deck is to ur advantage when there a lot of face cards left in the deck, why would you want to continuously split and resplit kings? when you continue to resplit, won't you eventually run out of advantagous facecards? the funniest part of story was the pit boss coming over to table and telling you that you had to stop respliting the facecards. wtf?

Dude, you should try staying up for 30 consecutive hours, last 8 of those, on a steady diet of grey goose and black jack, with a bunch of rowdy ass, obscene equally drunk gamblers who have been up even longer than you have then tell me if you will be following the basic strategy of black jack.

The pit boss had been hovering over our group from the moment we sat down (i swear he threatened to throw us out at least 10 times for obscene language) and it turns out that its the rule at the casino, you are simply not allowed to split kings more than 4 times on the same hand. Dealer simply forgot that because no one split kings...

When i did it, i had no clue that the deck was ladden with face cards, i was totally drunk and mostly trying to piss of one guy across the table who was cracking jokes about me...Like i said, i threatened them with splitting kings if they continued and they called me out on it so i did it.:+excited- :+excited- :+excited- :+excited-

I'm glad you came up like 7up on your trip, but if you think there's anything wrong with hitting a soft 17 against a dealer's 3, you're mistaken my friend.

i did not say they were hitting soft 17s....They were hitting hard 17s...they were tourists and it seemed like the dealer knew them from before with the way she kept cajoling me to get off the table and go get something to eat...

She must have been kicking herself because it took a few hands before i got the hint!!!!:doh1 :doh1 :doh1

Son,
Congratulations on your winning trip to Vegas. As the saying goes "it's better to be lucky, than good". Whether you play BJ in Vegas, Macau, Biloxi, or your momma's basement, in the long run you will be a loser if you split 10s. That is a mathematical fact, that no "system" can beat over the long run. The math is straightforward, but too tedious for most to take the time to comprehend. I don't intend to debate the math with you - it's a debate you cannot win against me. Anyways, congrats again ! Glad you knocked em over.

Salutations to you bro!!! I thank you for your advice...I will actually be making a return trip to the city of degeneracy and outright corruption next week and will be there through out the nba all star games..(free room and board courtesy of one of the many casinos i plundered this past weekend)

I am sure they are all anxious to see me king splitting ass back there any asap!!! (though i highly doubt i will last even one week at the bj tables this times round) I am sure you have read several books and disertations that have convinced you of the facts you presume above. Who am i to attempt to prove to you otherwise...I mean i am only the guy who actually sat at the card tables and split 10s and came away a winner not a loser!!!!

Perharps i am stupid...I really hope that all of vegas hold your myth to to be absolute truth and thus totally dismiss me to be a totally lucky idiot who got lucky for an entire week!!!!!!:+music1-6 without such mythology running rampart in that city of greed, i would highly doubt that i could continue to make money at such a phenomenal rate..

cheerio!!!:+excited-

If I may, allow me to suggest you should take a good chunk of your new-found cash and buy something nice that will last for awhile. Otherwise, you are just going to give it all back, probably with plenty more to boot.

Glad you had good fortune (luck) this past trip but you should not confuse blind luck with positive expectation. The fact that you won money does not validate your method. You are playing a losing game when you split 10's.

Best luck on your next trip!!

Let me get this straight...i won money for a whole week but my method is still invalid? So if i lost money all week, would that validate my method?

Can you fathom how many hands of bj i played the entire week (i was averaging 6 hours a day at bj) and the math simply failed to catch up with me even one time through out the week???

guess what bro.....i am keeping my so called "invalid winning method"

Red,

The only thing I can see positive about your 'system' is that you won't ever get barred and as long as your money holds out you will get comped. But I don't see the latter lasting too long so enjoy yourself while it lasts. GL

the thing most are missing is that splitting kings is not the main part of my method.

the thing most of these people who are being a little bit to generous with their advice dont seem to get is that while i do split 10s, i dont do it all the time and pick my spots. there are good times to split 10s and smart gamblers know when to do this.

one more thing, every time i visit las vegas, it seems i bust one more myth that i have found written in concrete on many of the internet forums i have visited.

I am the kind of person who will sooner believe what he sees with his own eyes, and totally prefer to taste the pudding myself instead of having some guy who probably has never tried what i am doing at the level at which i am doing it!!!!

I am 100% that pretty much every one responding negatively and predicting doom and gloom has never attempted to play blackjack the way i play it!!!!

They are mostly talking out of a vaccum just regurgitating the same old bullshit crap probably their grandad taught them!!!!

On the day one of you puts up his br, sits across from me at a bj table as we go one on one and tells me to my face that i will lose, will be the day i quit..

until then....baby i am vegas bound!!!!
