BOYS I DIDNT BET THIS PROP AND I AM JUST LOOKING FOR THE OFFICIAL RULING.

THE COLTS MISSED AN EXTRA POINT AND PHIL SIMMS SAID IT JUST GOES DOWN IN THE BOOKS AS A MISSED TWO POINT CONVERSION THER IS NO SUCH THING AS A MISSED EXTRA POINT.

MY QUESTION IS IF YOU BET WILL THERE BE A MISSED TWO POINT CONVERSION DOES THAT MISSED EXTRA POINT APPLY.

I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE AN OBVIOUS DECISION BUT COULD YOU FIGHT WITH A SPORTSBOOK ON THE RULING.

I would say it was a missed two-pt conversion because there was never a kick.

I have read Bodog is not paying if you bet "NO there will not be a successful two point conversion". They are calling it no action, even though it was an attempted two point conversion and it wasn't successful.

so if the Guy goes in and swings the leg and fakes the kick and the holder gets up and rolls out and hits a reciever in the end zone are you going to say the 2 point conversion doesn't count because he took the snap and didn't botch it...

"No such thing as a missed extra point" is obviously wrong. Although NFL kickers rarely miss the extra point the Saints did so in the 2005 season.

Also I believe there was no attempt at a two point conversion.

If in fact Vinatieri had run the ball in for two points I believe the following:

1. The prop "will a 2 pt conversion be attempted?" should pay the no.

2. The prop "will a 2 pt conversion be made?" should pay the yes.

Bizarre, but 1 is about intent and 2 is about results. If the above had happened no doubt all hell would have broken loose.

I view these props as similar to "will heads be called on the coin toss" which lost even though the result of the coin toss was heads.

Here the call was for one extra point.

Many books state that they follow "Las Vegas" rules. What IS the Vegas rule on this? Anybody know?

NFL.com said it was NOT a 2-pt attempt - it was an "Aborted kick attempt".

Contrast this with the Indy-NE game where there was a successful attempt, and the Dallas-Detroit game in week 17 where there . Whether successful or not, NFL.com lists it as "Conversion attempt". In the Super Bowl, it was not listed as an attempt.

In the Game log, they show PAT attempts as "kick, pass or rush". Normally there are only stats for kicks, but there will be a pass or rush stat if there is an attempted conversion (look at those two games). In the Super Bowl, there was no stat for that.

At least according to NFL.com, there was no 2-pt conversion attempt.

HEY WOODY YOU LITTLE F-CK I KNOW THERES SUCH THING AS A MISSED EXTRA POINT OBVIOUSLY IF YOU KICK AND MISS IT YOU MISSED THE EXTRA POINT.I WAS JUST GOING ON WHAT PHIL SIMMS SAID AND HE STATED IF YOU DROP THE SNAP ON AN EXTRA POINT IT BECOMES A TWO POINT CONVERSION.

SO IF THE RULES ARE RULES ACCORDING TO THE NFL THE COLTS DID MISS A TWO POINT CONVERSION YESTERDAY.IF I BET THIS PROP I WOULD BE FOGHTING LIKE HELL WITH THE SPORTSBOOKS.WHO IS TO SAY THEY WERENT FAKING THE EXTRA POINT AND GOING FOR 2 TO TAKE THE LEAD.
