We knew going into the season that Gonzaga wasn't going to reach the heights of the last three years, when the Bulldogs earned Nos. 2, 3 and 3 seeds. But the Bulldogs won enough games during an arduous non-conference schedule to be a viable at-large candidate. Then Josh Heytvelt got suspended.

Because we don't know when, or if, Heytvelt will be back, Gonzaga must be considered without its second-leading scorer. Monday's home loss to Santa Clara knocked the Bulldogs out of first place in the WCC, into the at-large pool and out of our bracket.

This makes Saturday's game against Memphis at Spokane Arena enormous. Beat the Tigers (a No. 3 seed this week) without Heytvelt, and the Bulldogs will likely jump right back into the field. Lose, and winning the WCC tournament may be the only option.

Each week for the rest of the season (and more often as we get closer), we'll show you who the top seeds will be — and who just made the cut.

See here for more details on the rules of building a bracket.

Some other notes — just for housekeeping:

Ohio State cannot play in Columbus, Kentucky cannot play in Lexington and Washington State cannot play in Spokane because they are the host schools for those sites.

<!--Gonzaga could be placed in Spokane because the Bulldogs play only three games at Spokane Memorial Arena, the maximum allowed before a venue is considered a home arena.-->

BYU must be placed at sites that do not play on Sundays because of religious reasons. This means if the Cougars make the field, they must play in either the South or West regional and either the Sacramento, Lexington, Winston-Salem or Buffalo first/second-round sites.

First- and second-round sites are not tied to specific regions — rather many teams, especially top-seeded ones, will play at a site relatively close to their campus because of the "pod" system.

"Leaving On A Jet Plane"

Peter, Paul and Mary baby!!!

All my bags are packed, Im ready to go
Im standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin, its early morn
The taxis waiting, hes blowin his horn
Already Im so lonesome I could cry.

Chorus:
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that youll wait for me
Hold me like youll never let me go.
Im leavin on a jet plane
I dont know when Ill be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go
.

Theres so many times Ive let you down
So many times Ive played around
I tell you now, they dont mean a thing
Every place I go, I think of you
Every song I sing, I sing for you
When I come back, Ill wear your wedding ring.

(chorus)

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time let me kiss you
Then close your eyes, Ill be on my way.
Dream about the days to come
When I wont have to leave alone
About the times, I wont have to say,

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go.
Im leavin on a jet plane
I dont know when Ill be back again
Oh, Scarlett, I have to go see ODU!!!!:party

I don't think they will make it. They have to win a few games in the CAA tourney. Don't you agree?
