they gave back the hostages (for whatever reason) when reagan took office,
so i don't think that incident had any long term effects. reagan countered any perceived american weakness that might have developed during the carter administration.

known as the OCTOBER SUPRISE ... the deal Reagan cut with Iran to hold the
hostages until after the election
Reagan was as corrupt as it gets and to hear Americans talk about much he
"cared about this country" is laughable and shows how dense Americans truly

ran with in this crowd
