they deny they are doing it and they do and violate normal business regs regarding "full disclosure" even if they are not asked. Most bettors don't expect it and I suppose dirty says we're just sheep to be fleeced if we don't know better. It's that kind of attitude that denies the indurstry any real legitimacy so keep blowing off steam dirty.

I have been gambling for many decades. I enjoy the company and comaraderie of gamblers and the bookies i have known in my life have without exception been likeable good guys all the way. BUT I'm not going to defend devious shit like dual lines. As long as the industry engages in fraud it's legitimacy will be questioned and rightly so.

Since Dirty introduced the subject of "dual lines" today I think his views here are his views and not a result of working for the books. It's not like he had to come to their defense cause it wasn't even being discussed. He introduced the subject and defends fraudulent practices because that's how he is.

You know if you drink enough free beer in a casino sportsbook you won't even realize there are duals lines. Let's face it this industry resorts to unconvetnional practices to seperate us from our money. Getting the vig ain't good enough so they get us drunk, give us dual lines, whatever. I wasn't aware of it till i read about it here a whle back. The hi tech sportsbooks have software which identifies bettors who take nearly all dogs or conversely take nearly all favorites. They then give out different numbers to the different types of bettors. I read about it here first with guys accusing bodog of doing it. I called bodog and they said they didn't. That was good enough for me until I saw dirty's thread. When the subject was first discussed here a couple of weeks back he defended the practice but today he tells us he's just inquiring why people don't like it. Doesn't matter much what we think. It's a wildcatter type industry and guys will do what they want. I just hope bodog was being honest with me though guys here maintain they put out dual lines.

Frank, I think that Dirty has been a standup guy since I've been here, (admittedly not too long) and I don't see how it would be in his best interests to lead everyone down the road to ruin. If everyone was "taking it in the ass" there'd be a lot fewer guys on this site.

The subject has been brought up several times recently, and I believe it was an innocent question raised by Dirty.

Bodog says they don't give out dual lines. There was no ambiguity when I discussed it with two different supervisors. They knew what I meant and assured me it doesn't go on. If it does then that is clearly a deceptive business practice which could never escape a regulator's eye if the industry was regulated honestly. Even if a joint does it and are not asked it's not "full disclosure" and violates honest business practicies becaue as much as some think we should be treated like sheep business ethical concerns say otherwise.
