Do we know a semi accurate figure for ALL money stolen or froze via these 2 issues...

Any indication of an estimated figure of players money that is not in the pockets of the owners of that money?

Well at least we know that the posters at the Rx will get their money back from the BoS fiasco.....NOT! Some insurance policy!~

I can't believe my luck in pulling out my money from NETeller because I was in Vegas and needed the money on the morning of January 15th. Best part is, the money I received let me make a comeback and I netted $26 for my trip!

I was in a similar boat. I had my Vegas trip in January and needed all of my offshore funds. Pulled 75% out before Pinnacle announced it's US news and got the other 25% just as the news was announced which was quickly relayed to me through Neteller. I luckily just missed this period of Neteller funds being all frozen.

As for BoS, I got my funds out of there a couple of years back once I started feeling screwed over by them. They even insisted I had to pay a 3% deduction because I was "requesting the whole balance" but I paid it and never reloaded with them again.

If this was the Price IS Right show - put me down for 10 milion on Bos and 50 milion on Neteller.

On a side note - how much of the Neteller funds that are frozen came from Pinnacle players who got pushed out? Correct me if I am wrong but Pinny only wanted to transfer to another book or refund with a Neteller. Not sure if anybody got checks with a Fed Ex as they said that would take longer. It more or less put the pressure on Neteller to actually put money back in the player's pockets.

Had it not been for the Pinny closing would the DOJ even have went after Neteller? My call is the greedy bastards went after Neteller because they thought this is just about the max we are going to be able to rob (freeze)them for.

So back to square one - Not even Pinnacle took good care of the player post up funds - they were not even safe with Pinnacle. Bottom line is a lot of people did not get paid because of Pinnacle's decision to close.

Now, explain to me again where our post up funds are safe? Personally, my opinion is they are safer some places than others but actually safe no where in the post up world.

Blaming Pinny for people losing money at neteller is laughable at best.... Totally asinine IMO because No One, I mean No one, Knew that Neteller was going to have Funds Frozen at any time...

I know you hate offshores Bucky and want to push people to locals, but come on man... Make Valid arguments....

And this statement is so far off I chuckle

...except the Feds. Give them A+ for strategy. Pinny moves out before Superbowl followed by the NETeller arrests. I'm sure they were keeping tabs on Lawrence's movements.

Now the NETeller postponed preliminary hearing is into March Madness. So we should know how things stand by the start of the baseball season.

exactly woody... if Pinny had any Idea that the money would be frozed, I am sure they would have sent checks or some other payment method... Neteller was the fastest and cheapest way...

Well - how about the timing of the DOJ attack on Neteller? That timing is too much of a coincidence. I am not saying Pinnacle recklessly endangered the player funds. But, the DOJ saw an opportunity and they took it and more or less out played Pinnacle on the hand. But, why would Pinnacle care if the players ever got their money or not from Neteller? They were off the hook. It was an indirect responsiblity. They covered their own butt and the players were left with the problem to solve.

BTW, there is nothing funny about this BS offshore where player post up funds are being stolen, frozen, mishandled, and otherwise taken from the players through the post up system.

Blame the DOJ then... sure they had a Plan.... but bringing Pinny into it is reckless and mere False Inuendo and speculation that Pinny didn't care about the players funds... That is your opinion and you have nothing to back it up with. I still stand by that if Pinny had Knows the DOJ would shut down Neteller the Money would not be sent there...bottom line... everything else they did was above board...why would this not be...

No One said it was funny that players money gets stolen.... But Bringing Pinny in with the likes of Books that Knowingly steal money is reckless and wrong IMO... And the Processor problems these books are having now does not mean your money is not safe or they are going to take your money

My guess:

BOS $80mm
Neteller over $1bn.

I'll say it again. There is no way Pinnacle knew this because their main guy would not have sent me MY funds via Neteller had he known. I feel strongly that our trust and relationship was close enough that had he known, he would have sent check(s) which was an option we dicussed also at the time.

"Bottom line is a lot of people did not get paid because of Pinnacle's decision to close."

Here is a case where the book transfers the money to Neteller and the customer asks for a check and doesn't get it because it is frozen. As a player you are screwed. This isn't the same thing as a check that bounced but it is not a long way off.

The players had no crystal ball either. However, you want to cut it or slice it - it didn't get done. That is the risk in the industry right now.

So, how does Pinnacle feel about the hard earned money of the customers? Well, it just isn't their problem. We transferred the money to Neteller and the accounts got frozen - hey - player - that's the breaks - U R screwed!

How do the merchants who advertised for Pinnacle feel?

How do I feel about telling a couple of my friends that Pinnacle was a good place to play and Neteller was a good way to move the money? The answer is NVFG.

But, it is the nature of the beast. Nobody is at fault - I can't blame Pinnacle, can't blame advertisers, can't blame myself, can't blame my friends-can't blame the postup system - but I can blame the DOJ. Those CS'rs - they are the ones at fault for the whole mess.

Has a date been set for the preliminary hearings this month yet?

I can't believe who would blame Pinnacle for having their money stuck in Neteller. We should be -thanking- Pinnacle for allowing us to get our money out from them as promptly as they processed everything.

Re: Do we know a semi accurate figure for ALL money stolen or froze via these 2 issues...

Neteller definitely got boned out of more than the players. Did Neteller always have separate bank accounts for American players, Canadian, British, etc. ?

I mean this wouldn't be right if the DOJ froze more money than that of the Americans. How did that get arrived at that -this is the exact amount we freeze and you Neteller guys can keep this to pay your other customers. This assumes that sportsbook accounts were considered foreign.

I don't know - this was a huge ripple effect. Neteller may still be operating if Pinny didn't close when they did. Wouldn't you like to know what the meetings with the Pinny bosses were like when they discussed their closing? What precipitated the decision to close exactly when they did. How much pressure or leverage did the DOJ exert, if any? Was the DOJ saying - you need to close and close now or we are going to do this, this, and this.

Re: Do we know a semi accurate figure for ALL money stolen or froze via these 2 issues...

I don't blame pinnacle. The DoJ thinks its funny that we don't get our funds. Good use of our taxes.
